Representing this unique 1967 Corvette Convertible, featuring a professional body off the frame restoration and restored to a high standard from an original, unaltered (supposedly one owner), 75k mile car.
Drives like 1967. Tracks true and drives straight no shaking or vibrations. Quietest corvette I've ever ridden in. Tighter than scourge on Christmas eve! Speedometer accurate since day one - not reset. Born with drive train. Myself (ASE MasterTech) along with a long-time friend and Corvette Collector collaborated on inspecting and verifying the: casting numbers, stamping numbers, chassis numbers, VIN plate, and Trim Tag with resources such as a copy of the original window sticker, and consulting with 4 different sources of Corvette nomenclature, have determined this car to be correct as presented. The Buyer is encouraged to do his or her examination before bidding or purchasing.
This car was part of a 30 car Corvette Collection and was one of his favorites. He drove it on occasion so it did not sit around like a monument. maintained by owners private mechanic, there are receipts for out-sourced repairs too complicated for him to perform. Shipped to FL in 2020 and has been maintained by local master mechanic who recently took over the family businesses started by his late father in 1982 (he was a Former Top Fuel Champion). Copies of receipts go with the car. We have posted a copy of the Bloomington Gold Certificate awarded to this car (VIN Number on Cert.).
HONEST DESCRIPTION
Chrome platting, stainless trim, and excellent condition tinted glass, clear and free of any fading or scratches. The interior presents as new, only very minor on a seat belt. Tire excellent, tread appears as unused. Chassis shows very good condition with minor dulling on very small pieces. Hood and panel gaps are the sane as it was when it left the factory. Doors, hood, convertible top, and panel cover all operate as they should. The window and the passenger door comes about a 1/4 Inch out of the channel but returns to the proper position. Probably a window roller but we have not diagnosed the issue. Does not have hard top - sold on MA Title. Body is Straight as an arrow, however, the paint has a few imperfections. Showed them as best as we could, the worst area is the front driver side of the hood. There are also scratches present on the left fork of the stinger and walking around the car, there are flaws in various top surfaces. Slight alligatoring on the hatch, about the size of a half dollar. All in all, the paint is deep and has a brilliant shine, we would give it an 8/10 even with the issues mentioned. I am sure a good wheel-man could make a huge improvement, but, we decided not to cover it up and sell the vehicle as is. Our price represents an excellent value.
In Closing, Please keep in mind the car is stored in a super secure storage facially catering only to Collector Cars. As such availability is restricted to certain hours, I will bend over backwards to accommodate your visit. I've given you the fairest description possible. We are reasonably negotiable, need the room for another Ferrari!
