The legendary Buick 3800 V6 - famous for its reliability and ease of repair. Timeless design, luxurious ride with the best suspension on any American car I've driven.

This Buick Riviera is a diamond in the rough for the right collector. It's in good mechanical condition, strong engine and transmission. I've just fixed the instrument display panel (dash cluster / speedometer) to address the common cold solder issue those things have. The beautiful digital display is in perfect working order. The brake lines are new. The exhaust system is new. New gas tank. The A/C has been recharged and converted to the modern standard r134 refrigerant. No rot, rust is minor. Drives like a dream - quite a fun car. Plus, the body styling is really a standout.

The front brakes are in good condition, the back brake pads are probably nearing the end of their life.

The main issue is the paint job - it needs work. I recommend fully stripping the paint and starting over. There's also a few minor issues in the interior. The leather seats need a bit of reconditioning, there's a crack in the driver's side door arm rest. There's a tear in the liner in the rear. All of this is fixable with some sweat equity. I have a clean passenger seat with no cracks, just not installed in the car. Also included are all of the logos and nameplates - currently removed to facilitate sanding for painting. But I have the "Riviera" logos for the back, as well as the opera lights.

P.S. I uploaded a video of the dash cluster as the lights react weirdly on camera and don't show up in pictures. Something about refresh rate, IDK. But video captures that it's working!
