128,871 kilometers Another one of the iconic “Pike Cars”, the Nissan S-Cargo was a limited production, sub-compact, retro-styled van that was manufactured from 1989 to 1991. Only 8,000 units were built and all were sold exclusively out of Nissan Cherry Stores in Japan. Powered by a 1.5 liter 4-cylinder engine paired with a 3-speed automatic transmission, the S-Cargo was well suited to the demands of busy entrepreneurs. The body was styled after a snail, or an “escargot” if you will, and the name was derived from the shape as well as its function in the market (“small cargo” van). Its high walls proved beneficial both inside and out, as the interior cargo capacity made it the perfect choice for a small delivery vehicle, and the exterior wall space was often used by companies to advertise their products and services. Nissan took a minimalistic approach when designing the interior of this commercial vehicle, taking care to ensure that all of the necessities were accounted for, including air conditioning, but not much else. Even so, it was still a popular choice for small businesses in Japan. However, production ceased in 1991 with the dissolution of the “Pike Factory”. Third party pre-purchase inspections are welcomed and encouraged. All vehicles sold by Duncan come with a clean U.S. title.
