Vehicle Details
1969 Mercedes Benz 280SL: I purchased the car in July of 2004 from VIP Classics in San Diego, CA. We have enjoyed owning it and driving it around the Pacific Coast. The original color is blue (color code 903H). The previous owner had it repainted in silver as shown. The interior is Tex and the color is Parchment (color code 145). All body parts have matching numbers except the engine. The dealer told me the engine was replaced at approximately 95,000 miles. It has A/C but was broken when I purchased it. The condenser has a crack in it. Since we lived in California we never needed it. It has some paint chips on the cover of the soft top compartment which were there when I purchased it and there is a small dent above the driver's side taillight. There was an oil leak behind the dash which was repaired, however it caused the paint around the ignition switch to peel a little. It could use window seals as well. It comes with the (2) tool rolls, spare tire, jack, wheel chock and owners manual. I have a seal kit for the transmission and a have an Europa radio that I was going to install. It has an aftermarket radio currently. I have detailed all of this in the pictures to portray the car as accurately as possible. If you have any questions or want additional pictures please email me. I would like you to take a look at the car if at all possible before purchase. NO warranty is given or implied.
