2008Dodge Charger Daytona

LimitedEdition Hemi Orange #899/1650

84,345miles

Background

Here it is. I reallyhate doing this, but I’m putting up my cherished and pampered HemiOrange Daytona up for sale. I bought this October 2019 after a longand hard search. I found it at a dealer in VA who told me they tookit in trade from a soldier stationed at a nearby base. It wasobviously babied, and I’ve done the same, putting just 8000 mileson it in between stays in my garage. All I did before taking thesevids and pictures was pull it out and dust it off. I keep it thisclean and well maintained all the time. I think you’d be very hardpressed to find a better one. If you’ve been looking for a HemiOrange Daytona, this is the one. I simply have too many cars andanother on the way.

Condition

Not a spec of rust,no leaks, no hits, runs, or errors. I get gawks, questions, andcompliments everywhere I go. If you don’t want attention, this isnot your car. Super clean inside and out, super comfortable, and veryvery fun to drive. Factory remote start, A/C, cruise, autoheadlights, power windows, power locks, power seats, heated seats. 2factory keys included. The aftermarket head unit iscarplay/android/bluetooth with backup cam and handsfree calling. Itruns through the factory amp and speakers. The antenna is not hookedup because it needs a special adapter and I never cared about havingAM/FM.

Maintenance

When I got it, Ifelt the suspension was a bit tired and the brakes were getting low,so I put on new shocks, struts, brake pads, and drilled/vented rotorsall around. New plugs, thermostat, water pump, and coolant followedabout 2 years ago. It has always received full synthetic oil, ofcourse, the most recent change being in the fall.

Modifications

Mods are minor.Previous owner put on the intake (but he included the original airbox in the trunk, which I have and will include with the car). I’m honestly not sure if theexhaust is stock. It sounds amazing either way. It has a Diablo tunewith MDS turned off. Tuner won’t come with the car because it ismated to my truck, as well. Old fog lights were not working, so Ireplaced with the lights you see in the pics. The outer LED ringscome on with the headlights, while the center beams come on when fogsturned on. It also has a battery tender installed with the plughanging out by the fog light, as shown.

Faults

As seen in pics, thepaint on the roof is looking a little thin in some spots, but it isnot very noticeable, and it looks like a bit of the clear has chippednear the moonroof. As usual, the plastic parts, such as bumpers, are no longer exactly the same orange as the metal parts, as happens with age. I also found a small chip in the windshield. Ihave no idea how long it has been there, but it doesn’t seem to bespreading, and it is far up on the passenger side, which is probablywhy I never noticed it till taking the photos. Tires have alwaysworked well for me, so I never bothered replacing them. They are allseason and definitely old at this point.

Summary

Price reflectscondition, miles, and rarity. It is negotiable, to an extent. If thead is up, yes, it is available. Look at all the videos and pictures.I’ve detailed everything I can think of and am not hiding anything. This is a wonderful car. Take it to Mopar shows and enjoy yourself.
