Purchased from the original owner in 2019, this '71 VW bus went through a thorough two year rotisserie restoration. All of the work performed was top quality from top to bottom. The body was painted in its original color with the wheels powder coated to match. Has new glass all around. The suspension, brakes and drivetrain have been fully restored and upgraded as needed. A longtime experienced VW engine builder did a complete rebuild on the original engine which now has 1,600 miles since the restoration was completed. The interior is all new in its original colors and features a custom headliner.
This bus starts, runs/drives excellent. The condition is show quality and has been on display at the Kernersville Auto Museum in Kernersville North Carolina. The odometer currently reads 47,183. (believed to be 147,183) Original window sticker and owner's manual included with sale. All documentation from the restoration including a 3 ring binder of pictures and detailed logs included.
