Up for sale is a 1999 Saab 9-3 convertible. This is my mother in law's car, I am selling it for her since she is not online. I have a clean signed notarized NC title in-hand, a signed release allowing me to act as her agent, and can provide proof of relationship if needed. If any of that is a problem for you please just move along.

The Good
-Last of the "real Saabs" before GM bought the whole company
-True Southern car (SC, NC) with no visible rust and only light surface rust on the underbody
-Low miles for the year
-Owned for many years by lady in her 70s
-All trim and plastics appear to be there, no obvious missing trim pieces inside or out
-Clean overall inside and out
-Convertible top is in good shape, no leaks
-No leaks observed on driveway, normal surface grime on the block
-Comes with user manuals, mfg documentation, and history
-Brand new Interstate battery
-Was in regular use until the clutch failed
-5 speed manual
-Turbo!



The Bad
-Car is not drivable, clutch pedal goes straight to the floor and the clutch does not disengage. Suspect clutch slave cylinder issue, do not know for sure.
-Carfax states it was in a right front accident in 2000 per reports. We can't see any evidence of a wreck or bodywork on this corner. 

-There is a red stain (maybe lipstick) on the rear carpet behind the driver's seat, see photo.

Working
-Cranks & runs (cold and hot)
-Gas pedal response is smooth in Neutral
-Brakes and parking brake stop the car from rolling
-Good movement in and out of N-R-and all gears
-No emissions lights or errors
-Headlights, Exterior lights, signals
-Tach, Temp, and Fuel gauges
-Odometer
-Seatbelt warning, Info display light work appropriately
-Interior lights
-All windows
-Power lock / unlock / trunk from button or key fob
-Horn
-Alarm
-Windshield wipers
-Heat
-Power seat
-All buttons on steering wheel
-Adjustable steering wheel
-Steering
-Air vent adjustments
-New cabin air filter
-New wiper blades (4)

Partially working / worn
-Worn tires
-Speakers, Radio, CD, & buttons to operate tuner, vol, etc. all work, however radio drains battery with key off. Fuse is pulled to prevent this. 

-We've seen other intermittent dead battery conditions, it doesn't happen every time and we're not sure where it's coming from.
-Power deployment of convertible top is good, but throws errors to dash & requires multiple button press, lubrication has helped.
-Center dash display has some missing pixels
-Drivers headlight wiper movement works, passenger does not
-Side mirrors only power-adjust in the up direction

Not working
-Clutch does not work, suspect the system needs a bleed or new slave cylinder but do not know for sure
-A/C, blower works but not cool
-Air damper/director for interior vents

Unsure or unable to test
-Heated seats
-Defroster  (haven't been in frost to confirm)
-Speedo / Turbo gauge (havent driven due to slave cylinder)
-Lights such as low fuel (havent driven due to slave cylinder)

The car is located in North Asheville and I'm available to show it on a flexible schedule most days. I only accept cash or a money order that I watch you take out from a bank or post office.
