NO RESERVE AUCTION!!!
VERY IMPORTANT. READ LISTING IN ITS ENTIRETY. I
KNOW IT'S LONG, BUT WANT TO BE FULLY TRANSPARENT WITH FULL
DISCLOSURE. If you’re serious about buying, then you’ll
appreciate the details.
With
no reserve, it is priced to move quickly in an AS-IS sale.
Here’s
a chance to drive a very late model, low mileage desirable Jeep Cherokee Limited SUV
(Not a “Grand” Cherokee) with relatively low miles for
just pennies on the dollar!
Other than
some very
minor small door dings and light scratches typical of any 8 year old car, I
really can’t find anything to complain about on this car, which is extremely rare
for an 8 year old car with 90,500 miles on it. There are some minor door dings
that are visible to the eye when looking really close up, but was to able to
get the photos or video to capture them due to how small they are. No excess
wear. Paint shows typical wear and tear for an 8 year old vehicle, but no
excessive fading. Just one minor scrape where the front license plate mounts is
the only notable imperfection I can find.
This vehicle is in great shape overall.
View photos and Video
closely.
Also have this great listing available of a very late model 2020 Ford Escape Hybrid that gets 41 MPH that, aside from some exterior body work, is another vehicle in GREAT overall condition, for anyone interested......
https://www.ebay.com/itm/266868816990
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE ONLY BID IF YOU PLAN TO FOLLOW THROUGH WITH
THE PURCHASE OF THIS VEHICLE IF YOU WIN THE AUCTION. EBAY IS NOT A GAME. AFTER
YEARS OF SUCCESS ON EBAY, TOO MANY FAILED AUCTIONS LATELY AS A RESULT OF PEOPLE
BIDDING WITH NO INTENTION TO PURCHASE. PLEASE SHOW A LITTLE RESPECT AS IT IS
COSTLY FOR SELLERS. PLEASE READ LISTING OF THIS "AS-IS" SALE. THANK
YOU.
THIS HAS BEEN GETTING WORSE LATELY. NEW EBAY MEMBERS WITH NO
FEEDBACK COME IN AT THE LAST MINUTE AND WIN THE AUCTION WITH NO CLUE AS TO WHAT
THEY ARE COMMITTING TO.
IF YOU HAVE A NEW ACCOUNT, AND/OR ZERO FEEDBACK, CONTACT ME PRIOR TO
BIDDING, OTHERWISE BIDS WILL BE CANCELED.
NOTE:
Initial listing may have a low reserve set. This simply to allow the "Buy
It Now" price to remain for anyone that doesn't want to wait out the
auction. Once the reserve price is met, that option goes away, thus I include
it solely to keep that option available until it reaches a certain price point.
Ebay can be hit and miss. If for some unlikely reason, there is no real
activity on the listing, it may be removed. Otherwise, as long as there are
bids on the vehicle to show that enough buyers have seen the listing,
the reserve price will be removed a day or two before the listing ends. So
place your bids as if there is no reserve and ignore the notice when it says
reserve not met. The vehicle will be offered to the highest bidder regardless.
Another great offering that will likely sell well below Kelly
blue book value. Looking at the SALE HISTORY, most of these cars are selling in
the $15,000+ range. This is a NO RESERVE AUCTION, leaving a
chance for the winning bidder to STEAL this high in demand loaded SUV.
I am not a
dealer, however, we do have a towing company and therefore come across a lot of
Lien Sale vehicles. Most that we get are junkers that we sell at a weekly
auction for under $2,000. However, of the cars that come available, we do
cherry pick the nicer cars and offer them publicly. If you’ve seen any of my
past listings, most go out at very low price points, well below Kelly Blue Book
wholesale (trade-in) value. We are more interested in a quick sale than holding
out for a few extra dollars.
Here, we
have a very late model 2016 Jeep Cherokee Limited
FWD (2WD). NOTE: It is not a “GRAND CHEROKEE”, which is Jeep’s larger SUV that
comes up In the same searches. This Cherokee has a “Limited” option package
from Jeep and had an over $30,000 MSRP when new. Overall, this vehicle appears
to be in GREAT SHAPE all around.
It is a Low Mileage
offering with just 90,500 miles (well below average at just 11,313 per year). We rarely come across lien sale cars this clean.
Carfax
(available upon request) shows an excellent maintenance history with its last
service coming just 3,000 miles ago.
Generally,
with our lien sales, we add a ton of disclosures as many of the cars do have
some issues to deal with, as such we offer them strictly As-Is. While this is
still an “As-Is” offering, the only real difference between this lien sale and
a typical private party or dealer purchase is the fact that the paperwork will
be different. As a car with excellent Carfax reporting history, there appear to
be no issues with this vehicle to address aside from VERY MINOR typical small
door dings and light chips/scratches to be expected of any 8 year old car with
90,500 miles on it. Again, you have to look really hard to find these MINOR imperfections.
For us, this is really
is a rare find and going to be a GREAT opportunity for someone to pick up a
great SUV that was priced new at over $30,000
for a hugely discounted price.
Car has a clean title. Carfax shows two separate MINOR damage
reports. Having gained experience with Carfax reportings, these generally just
mean very small incidents that may have damaged the paint. One was reported in 12/2017,
showing some minor damage to the right front portion of the front bumper. The
other in 04/2019 showing some damage to the front bumper. The airbags did NOT
deploy in either case, further supporting that any such contact wit something was
minor.
Based on my
walkaround of the car, photos and videos, damage has long since been repaired
and there is no evidence of any remaining damage. It’s been over 5 years since
the last such incident with over 30,000 miles put on the car since then. Car
will have a clean title.
The exterior
of this car is nearly perfect. Aside from some very small door dings / scratches
expected of any car this age and over 90,500 miles, looks great. I’m a bit of a
perfectionist myself and it’s a vehicle I’d consider keeping myself and wouldn’t
touch a thing. As noted, really can’t find any dings or scratches unless you
did deep and look really closely.
The interior
of this car is nearly perfect as well. LIMITED
OPTION PACKAGE (SEE ATTACHED WINDOW STICKER), which includes some highlight items
such as, Back-up camera, Keyless enter-N-Go, Remote Start, Touch Screen display
with Bluetooth, heated seats, auto climate control, etc, etc.
The interior
is in nearly perfect shape with no excess wear. Looks like it has less than
30,000 miles on it when viewing the interior.
As expected
of any used car, there are some minor scratches a few very small door dings,
none that I could not get to show up in photos. Have to really look hard for
them.
While lien
sale cars are rarely perfect. This one isn’t your typical lien sale. We rarely
come across lien sales of cars this new and in this good of condition. At least from my own
walk-around inspection, quick test drive and the photos/video I’ve included, I
truly can’t find anything to complain about on this car, which is EXTREMELY
rare, especially for me. Almost surprisingly, no curb rash on any of the
wheels. A couple of the wheels have some very small scuff marks that appear to
be from tire machines rather than hitting something. The wheel condition further
contribute to the care that its prior owners took with this car to keep it
looking great, both inside and outside.
It is an 8 year old car
with 90,000+ miles, so I’m not going to say it’s “like new”, no such car would
be. But, it appears to have been so very well cared for and looks like it could
easily have less than 30,000 miles on it.
With lien
sales, we do have to hang onto cars for approximately 1-2 years (sometimes longer) before they clear all liens and are available to be sold.
Carfax
shows an extensive and consistent maintenance history. The most recent coming
in 07/2021
when the car had 90,120 miles on it, thus has had virtually no miles put on it
since we acquired the car in 2021.
This car was originally
purchased in Florida in 2015. In 2018, it moved to New Mexico before finding
its way to California in 2021, thus the car
has been in a favorable warm weather climate its
entire life.
As with any
of our lien sale cars, we do recommend that the new owner take them in for
service as most have been sitting for a year or two (possibly more). This one was last serviced just a couple of hundred
miles ago and passed smog, but was in 07/2021 per the Carfax report.
Tires still have some reasonable
tread left on them. Date codes appear to be more than 4 years old. Appears
another year or two of life is reasonable to expect from these tires. Another
rarity. As noted, wheels are still in great shape with no apparent curb rash.
On most
lien sale vehicles that I list, I have to provide an extensive list of the
issues in the interest of full disclosure. However, on this car, there’s really
not much for me to point.
Car runs and drives well. Looks great inside and out. It’s a car that you’ll
simply purchase, get titled and registered very simply and just enjoy it for what
it is.
Really
nothing left for me to disclose that I can find by inspecting the car, as any
buyer would. I do my best to be sure to include any known flaws. Normally, we don’t do
any repairs on Lien Sale cars we take in, however, because this one was so
clean, we did give it a tune up as it idled a little rough. Replaced all the
spark plugs, injectors and fuel pump. (typical recommended maintenance items for
a 90,500 mile vehicle. Now it runs an idles great.
If not
disclosed above, any other visual flaws are disclosed via the multiple
high-resolution photos and/or walk-around video. Be sure to view all photos and
video closely.
I can’t imagine anyone
taking the time to do anything with the very few and very minor door dings as
they are so hardly noticeable and only if you go specifically looking for them.
But, for someone that does care about very minor door dings, they could be very
easily fixed by a mobile ding repair specialist that would come out to you and
fix them in your driveway. Again, can’t imagine anyone would bother, but if you’re
a perfectionist, it’s an option if so desired.
99.9% of buyers will
simply service the car and drive it. The vehicle is
likely to sell WAY below typical market value for these vehicles. With that
savings, buyer will easily have enough money left over to cover any
future maintenance needs. Otherwise, keep the money
in your pocket and still get all the great benefits of driving a very late
model, technologically up to date SUV.
With the “Limited”
option package, this was one of the most expensive
offerings of this model by Jeep when new. This
really is a great opportunity to drive a vehicle once priced over $30,000 for pennies on the dollar. Again, aside from the
exterior bumps and bruises, really looks exceptionally well inside and still
runs and drives great.
PRICE
REFLECTS IT BEING SOLD IN AS-IS CONDITION. SELLER OFFERS NO WRITTEN, EXPRESSED
NOR IMPLIED WARRANTY OR GUARANTEES. BUYER ACCEPTS THIS BY CHOOSING TO BID ON
THE VEHICLE. AS NOTED, IT IS A 8 YEAR OLD VEHICLE WITH 90,500 MILES
AS WITH
ANY VEHICLE WITH THIS MILEAGE, IT’S LIKELY TO NEED SOME GENERAL REPAIRS AND
MAINTENANCE.
As with all of our lien sales, the cars are sold As-Is. I’ve done
a walk around and inspection of the vehicle and noted any areas in need of
attention that are visible. This one again, appears to be in great shape,
needing only very
exterior cosmetic repairs of some very small
dings (that most won’t even notice or care about).
Interior looks great. Runs and drives great. Mechanically, appears to be in
great shape. No error codes on the dash. However, the seller offers no written,
expressed nor implied guarantees or warranty of any kind. I am not a dealer and
therefore do not have a pre-certified inspection process. I view the car just
as any buyer would when we acquire them.
The car is likely to sell well below what many sell for. The
discounted price is the benefit to the buyer. The seller will not contribute
towards any cost of repairs, maintenance or repairs it may need. The likely
reduced price it sells at as a result of NO RESERVE auction is the sellers
contribution to the buyer, noting that it’s likely to sell at well below market
value price. With no reserve, it is priced to move quickly
in an AS-IS sale.
I’ve included several high-resolution photos to show its condition
as well as a link to a full walk-around and startup video. Any items I may have
missed and not disclosed in the notes above, likely can be seen in the photos
and videos. View them closely.

BUYER AGREES TO HAVING KNOWLEDGE OF THE SELLERS
DISCLOSURES NOTED ABOVE REGARDING THE KNOWN ITEMS THAT CURRENTLY NEED
ATTENTION. WHILE NOT APPARENT TO THE SELLER, THE BUYER ACCEPTS THAT THERE COULD
BE OTHER ISSUES IN NEED OF ATTENTION. THE SELLER HAS NOTED ANY ITEMS THAT WERE
ABLE TO BE DETERMINED VIA A WALK-AROUND AND TEST DRIVE OF THE VEHICLE.
THE BUYER ACCEPTS FULL UNDERSTANDING OF THE VEHICLE'S
CONDITION AND TAKES FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE VEHICLE UPON TAKING POSSESSION.
BUYER FULLY UNDERSTANDS THAT THIS IS AN 8 YEAR
OLD VEHICLE WITH OVER 90,000 MILES. IT
RUNS AND DRIVES WELL, HOWEVER, IT IS NOT A NEW CAR. AS IS TYPICAL OF ANY CAR, IT WILL
NEED MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS OVER TIME. TYPICAL WEAR AND TEAR ITEMS ARE
CONSIDERED TO BE A PART OF TYPICAL MAINTENANCE, WHICH THE BUYER ACCEPTS
RESPONSIBILITY TO DO AND ACCEPTS THE VEHICLE IN ITS FULLY AS-IS CONDITION BY
COMPLETING THE PURCHASE OF THE VEHICLE. AS IT IS ONLY 8 YEARS OLD, DMV LIKELY HAS NOT REQUESTED A
SMOG CHECK YET. IT HOWEVER, MAY BE REQUIRED FOR TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP, AS IS
THE CASE ON ALL USED CAR SALES (IF SOLD IN CALIFORNIA). AS NOTED, PER
CARFAX REPORT, IT PASSED SMOG IN 2021 WITH 90,000 MILES ON IT. WITH LESS THAN 300 MILES ADDED SINCE, NO ERROR CODES NOTED DOESN’T APPEAR TO BE ANY REASON IT WOULDN’T PASS
SMOG AGAIN. HOWEVER, THE BUYER TAKES ON FULL RESPONSIBILITY TO HAVE THE
VEHICLE SMOGGED AND ANY OTHER NECESSARY INSPECTIONS OR FEES REQUIRED TO
REGISTER AND TITLE THE VEHICLE.
I RECENTLY ACQUIRED THE CAR VIA A LIEN SALE.
CAR IS NOW FREE AND CLEAR WITH ALL LOANS / LIENS PAID OFF. As part of the as-is
sale, seller will provide the buyer with all lien-sale paperwork necessary to
register and title the vehicle, including documentation that all liens have
been satisfied. As with any used car purchase, buyer is responsible for all
costs associated with getting the car smogged and registering the car into
their own name. All loans / liens are already paid off. If sold to a California
buyer, happy to go with you to my local DMV to ensure an easy transaction as
I've sold several of these over the past year. CHECK MY EBAY FEEDBACK. VERY
EASY PROCESS. HAVE HAD VERY HAPPY BUYERS AS I DO ALL I CAN TO DISCLOSE ANYTHING AND
EVERYTHING IN AN EFFORT TO UNDER-PROMISE AND OVER-DELIVER. I ALSO DO EVERYTHING
I CAN TO ASSIST IN MAKING THIS A SMOOTH AND EASY TRANSACTION. I AM FLEXIBLE AND
WILL WORK WITH THE BUYER IF DEADLINES CAN'T BE MET PRECISELY, AS LONG AS THE
BUYER COMMUNICATES OPENLY WITH ME. MOST NOTABLY, WE ARE INTERESTED IN A QUICK
SALE RATHER THAN HOLDING OUT FOR THE LAST FEW DOLLARS. BUYERS OF MY CARS ALWAYS
GET VERY, VERY GOOD DEALS. MOST SELLING MUCH LOWER THAN
WHAT OTHER ONES SELL FOR.
I CAN ASSURE THAT CALIFORNIA AND TEXAS HAVE NO
ISSUES WITH LIEN SALE PURCHASES BY THE PUBLIC, HAVING SOLD CARS TO BUYERS IN
BOTH STATES AND NEVER HAVING HAD A PROBLEM. SIMPLY DUE TO LACK OF EXPERIENCE
SINCE I HAVEN’T SOLD TO BUYERS FROM OTHER STATES, I CANNOT ABSOLUTELY GUARANTEE
WHAT THEIR PROCESSES ARE. IF YOU ARE NOT FROM TEXAS OR CALIFORNIA, I WOULD
RECOMMEND CHECKING WITH YOUR LOCAL DMV TO ENSURE THAT THEY HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH
LIEN SALE PURCHASES. WOULDN’T IMAGINE THAT THEY WOULD, BUT IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY
OF THE BUYER TO BE SURE. THE WORST CASE SCENARIO WOULD BE THAT THEY MAY REQUIRE
THE CAR BEING REGISTERED / TITLED IN CALIFORNIA FIRST, THEN TRANSFERRED TO YOUR
STATE. THAT IS HIGHLY UNLIKELY AS MOST STATES HAVE SIMILAR RULES.
AS NOTED ABOVE, LIEN SALES TAKE 1-2 YEARS TO
CLEAR. THIS ONE TOOK CLOSER TO THREE YEARS. APPEARS THE CAR WAS LAST REGISTERED
IN 2021. THERE MAY BE A COUPLE OF YEARS OF PAST REGISTRATION DUE. HOWEVER, I
RAN A CHECK THROUGH DMV’S WEBSITE AND APPEARS THE BACK FEES ARE QUITE MINIMAL
AT LESS THAN $700, NOT INCLUDING BUYER’S COST FOR CURRENT YEAR REGISTRATION,
SALES TAXES DUE AND TITLE TRANSFER FEES.
AGAIN, ANOTHER RARITY FOR OUR LIEN SALES. I HOWEVER, CAN’T GUARANTEE
THIS, BEYOND WHAT CARFAX SHOWS. NATURALLY, BUYER WILL HAVE TO PAY CURRENT YEAR
REGISTRATION, SALES TAX AND TITLE TRANSFER FEES, THAT WOULD BE REQUIRED ON ANY
USED CAR PURCHASE.
APPEARS, SHOULD ONLY NEED 2022 AND 2023 TO BE CAUGHT UP. AGAIN, NO
GUARANTEES ON THIS, SIMPLY GOING BY THE REGISTRATION HISTORY IN CAR FAX. AS
THIS IS AN “AS-IS” SALE, BUYER ACCEPTS RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY REGISTRATION
COSTS NECESSARY TO GET THE CAR TITLED AND REGISTERED IN THEIR NAME. BUYER
ACCEPTS RESPONSIBILITY TO HAVE THE CAR SMOGGED (IF REQUIRED) AND UNDERSTANDS
THAT THE SELLER WILL NOT CONTRIBUTE TOWARDS THESE COSTS IN ANY WAY, BEYOND THE
FACT THAT THE CAR WILL LIKELY SELL EXTREMELY CHEAP. SELLING IT AT A REDUCED
PRICE (WHATEVER THE “NO RESERVE” AUCTION BRINGS) IS THE SELLERS ONLY
CONTRIBUTION TOWARD ANY REPAIR, MAINTENANCE OR REGISTRATION COSTS. THE BUYER’S
SAVINGS AS A RESULT OF THE LIKELY LOW SALE PRICE, COMPARED TO WHAT OTHERS SELL
FOR, WILL MORE THAN COVER A FEW HUNDRED DOLLARS OF PAST REGISTRATION COSTS, IF
THERE ARE ANY. IF SOLD TO AN OUT OF STATE BUYER, PAST REGISTRATION FEES WILL
NOT BE REQUIRED AS YOU GET A FRESH START BY BRINGING IT TO A NEW STATE.
CAR HAS A CLEAN TITLE HISTORY, CLEAN AND CLEAR
TITLE WILL BE ISSUED.

PLEASE - ONLY BID IF YOU PLAN TO FOLLOW THROUGH WITH THE PURCHASE.
BIDDING IS A BINDING CONTRACT TO BUY THE CAR IF YOU WIN THE AUCTION. FOR A CAR
AT THIS VERY LOW PRICE POINT, I CAN'T AFFORD TO WASTE TWO WEEKS IN HAVING TO
RELIST AND/OR PAY LISTING FEES AGAIN. I KINDLY ASK THAT BIDDERS SHOW RESPECT
AND COMPASSION AND PLEASE ONLY BID IF YOU ARE ABLE TO COMPLETE THE SALE.
IF YOU HAVE ZERO FEEDBACK, PLEASE MESSAGE ME THROUGH EBAY TO CONFIRM
THAT YOUR BIDS ARE VALID. BIDS FROM NEW MEMBERS OR THOSE WITH NO FEEDBACK MAY
BE CANCELLED IF THE BIDDER DOES NOT COMMUNICATE WITH ME BEFORE THE AUCTION
ENDS.
$300
DEPOSIT IS DUE IMMEDIATELY UPON AUCTION END TO CONFIRM THE SALE. REMAINING
BALANCE IS DUE, VIA CASH UPON DELIVERY OR WIRE TRANSFER WITHIN 7 DAYS OF
AUCTION END (NO CASHIER'S CHECKS). DEPOSIT IS NOT REFUNDABLE UNLESS WE MUTUALLY
AGREE TO NOT COMPLETE THE SALE. CHECK MY FEEDBACK. I AM VERY TRANSPARENT. IF
YOU'RE NOT HAPPY WITH THE CAR WHEN YOU COME TO PICK IT UP, I WON'T HOLD YOU TO
THE SALE AND WILL REFUND THE DEPOSIT. I WANT THE BUYER TO BE HAPPY WITH THEIR
PURCHASE. IT IS NOT REFUNDABLE IF YOU WIN THE AUCTION AND SIMPLY CHANGE YOUR
MIND OR DIDN'T READ THE DETAILS ABOVE BEFORE BIDDING OR ANY OTHER REASON THAT
IS SOLELY DUE TO THE BUYER'S ACTIONS AND NOT OF MY OWN DOING. POINT
BEING, PLEASE DON'T BID UNLESS YOU HAVE READ THE LISTING IN ITS ENTIRETY AND
ARE READY AND ABLE TO COMPLETE THE SALE IF YOU WIN THE AUCTION. THANK YOU!
BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PICKING UP THE VEHICLE AND/OR MAKING
ARRANGEMENTS TO HAVE IT SHIPPED / TRANSPORTED TO YOUR LOCATION. BUYER IS
RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH PICKING UP THE TRUCK OR HAVING IT
SHIPPED / TRANSPORTED TO THE BUYER'S LOCATION.
THIS
IS AN AS-IS LISTING OF A 4 YEAR OLD VEHICLE WITH OVER 87,000
MILES ON IT. WHILE THE CAR APPEARS TO RUN AND DRIVE WELL, IT IS FULLY DISCLOSED
THAT THE VEHICLE WAS ACQUIRED THROUGH A LIEN SALE TRANSACTION. WHILE THIS IS
CONSIDERED TO BE A PRIVATE PARTY SALE, THE SELLER HAS NOT HAD THE CAR INSPECTED
BY A MECHANIC TO DETERMINE ANY ISSUES BEYOND WHAT ARE READILY NOTABLE THROUGH A
WALK-AROUND AND TEST DRIVE OF THE VEHICLE.
IT
IS AN "AS-IS" SALE. THIS IS THE PRIMARY REASON WHY IT IS BEING SOLD
IN A NO RESERVE AUCTION AND WILL LIKELY SELL AT WAY BELOW
MARKET VALUE. THE VERY LOW PRICE TAKES INTO ACCOUNT THAT IT COULD NEED
SOME REPAIRS. AGAIN, THE SELLER HAS DISCLOSED ANY KNOWN ISSUES WITH THE CAR.
BASED ON MY OWN PERSONAL OPINION, IT DOESN’T APPEAR TO NEED MUCH (BEYOND WHAT
IS DISCLOSED ABOVE), BUT I AM IN NO WAY, A PROFESSIONAL MECHANIC QUALIFIED TO
OFFER AN OPINION BEYOND JUST A PERSONAL OPINION.
BUYER
ACCEPTS FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY AND ALL REPAIRS THE CAR MAY NEED. THE
SELLER IS NOT AWARE OF ANY OTHER KNOWN ISSUES. AGAIN, THE VERY LOW
PRICE IT WILL SELL AT, TAKES INTO ACCOUNT THAT THIS IS A 4 YEAR OLD
VEHICLE WITH OVER 87,000 MILES THAT COULD BE IN NEED OF MAINTENANCE AND
POSSIBLY SOME REPAIRS.
CAR
WILL ALMOST CERTAINLY SELL FAR LOWER THAN WHAT OTHER SIMILAR CARS ARE SELLING
FOR. THAT HUGE PRICE REDUCTION IS THE SELLER’S ONLY ASSISTANCE TOWARD
MAINTENANCE OR MAKING ANY REPAIRS NECESSARY. THE SELLER WILL NOT CONTRIBUTE
TOWARD ANY REPAIRS ONCE THE SALE IS FINAL, REGARDLESS IF ADDITIONAL ITEMS ARE
DISCOVERED.
