Extremely clean, great running 1929 Phaeton! At first glance it looks fairly stock but everything mechanically has been upgraded, rebuilt, and improved!
The Engine is a 1932 Ford "Diamond B" which has been professionally rebuilt. It has a finned aluminum head and a twin carb intake with dual B carburetors! it runs absolutely perfect and has quite a but more power than a stock model. The transmission is a rebuilt Model A unit that shifts great and is very tight. It does not pop out of gear either!
The frontend is an original chrome dropped axle with Lincoln "self energizing" hydraulic brakes and stops great! the steering box is Ford F-100 mated to the stock model A column, the steering is tight and very responsive. the rearend is a 1935 Ford that has been modified to fit the model A. It also has hydraulic brakes and 354 gears, so car goes down the road at 65-70 MPH no problem.
The body is very solid and strait with all original steel. the doors open and close perfectly! the Washington blue body and black fenders were painted many years ago and has some nice patina. I don't believe there are any patches in the body from what I can tell. The retro paintings on the doors can easily be removed if desired.
The top and interior were also done many years ago but its all in excellent condition. the seats are basic black vinyl but very comfortable. Also, the front seat frame has been professionally moved back 6 inches so it has plenty of room for a big guy to drive!
It has 16" kelsey hayes wire wheels and "big & little" whitewalls. the front windshield is the folding type so it can be slightly laid back when the top is down. All the gauges work perfect including the tach and speedometer.
This is a very good running reliable California car that can be driven anywhere! does not overheat and is very comfortable! Previous owner had over $45K invested making is mechanically perfect! feel free to message me with any questions. Can possibly help with a shipping company also. thanks, and good luck!
