This is a Ford Fairlane 500 Skylineralso known as a retractable hardtop. I personally restored this car over a three year period. It was completely disassembled down to the very last bolt and fastener. The body has been completely stripped, primed with epoxy, then painted with correct color Spies Hecker basecoat and clearcoat. Most all the wiring is new including all underdash and underhood. Every bolt, nut, washer, and fastener was either stripped and replated or painted correctly. All chrome was done, all stainless was repaired and polished to a chrome finish.Upholstery was done by LeBaron Bonney just months before they shut down.

The E-CODE Engine and Transmission are correct and original to the car. Engine is completely redone, .030 bored, .010on both the mains and the rods, everything new internally including Mummerts correct dual valve spring kit, and was broken in using Joe Gibbs BR30 break in oil. Transmission was also completely gone through with all new parts and has the correct tag still intact.  I've owned this car for over 38 years, it was in dry storage until 3 years ago when I began the restoration. I have hundreds of pictures as I went through the process so if there is any question about a certain detail, I'd be happy to answer. I built this car as a show car so there isn't one detail I didn't address. The underside is just as clean and correct as the rest of the car. This car, being factory Red and Black with the 'E' code designation, power windows, seat, brakes and steering is about as rare a Skyliner as you will find, short of the 'F' codes.

This car has been built as a show car and has only been driven 4+ miles to insure everything performs as it should. And it does.

Please note, in some of the assembly pictures, the red color looks different. It is NOT. It was the camera I was using. The color is exact and consistent throughout the car.

The title is free and clear in my name and has been since 1992.

I am asking for a $2000 deposit within 24 hours of purchase using paypal. The balance can be a wire transfer or cash is always welcome. Any shipping should be handled by the buyer at buyer’s expense. There is a large shopping area right off the interstate for loading onto a transport truck or there’s always room to load it onto your trailer right here at my place. The car is being sold as is where is with no warranties written or implied. Please ask any questions you may have, I’ll do my best to answer and thanks for looking.
