This is our unicorn - a Crossfire Limited Roadster 6-speed with the SRT-6 supercharged engine. The best of all worlds. I have the receipts from a previous owner to show that at least the final part of the engine swap was completed at Renntech in Florida. A previous owner paid to have the car shipped from Illinois to Florida to have Renntech finalize the swap. My concern before buying was how the swap was done, who did the electrical and ECU wiring, etc., and once I found out it was done by Renntech I had no worries. It is a very clean, professional swap and it looks factory in every way and everything works just as it should. If you are familiar with Crossfires you know that the supercharged SRT-6 models only came with an automatic transmission from the factory. I have seen so many people say “If only it came with a 6-speed”. Well, here it is and the conversion was done at the best AMG shop in the country so it was done right. This is not a backyard hack job.
Graphite gray with cedar interior.I flew to Chicago last year, bought the car and drove it back to Phoenix. What a blast. Once I got it home I went through the car as I always do. The car was in great shape but had only been driven 7K miles in 9 years so, with the exception of the throwout bearing which needed replacement, the work I did was strictly preventive or to upgrade. Here is what I did:
Installed a DJ Tighe rebuilt RCM Installed a new Bosch crankshaft position sensor Installed a Needswings pulley saver kit Installed a new supercharger pulley bearingNew idler pulley New tensioner pulleyNew water pump Made and installed a custom DCAI Did the coolant isolation mod for the supercharger. Runs very cool now ECU tune by The MSS.SKREEM key delete done by The MSS. No transponder chip needed to start the car.Installed LUK clutch, pressure plate and throwout bearing Installed new driveshaft carrier bearing Installed a Hike It throttle response controller. Works great. Installed a pushbutton start system Dyed the shift boot cedar to match the interior WindRestrictor plexiglass windscreen installed MRR GT1 wheels- Tires have approximately 4K miles - nearly new. Flushed brake lines. Pads and rotors only have 6K miles on them so were not replaced.
There are other little things but these are the main things. I named the car Clark Kent, aka Superman because the car is very unassuming looking but with the SRT-6 engine and the 6-speed it is wicked fast so the looks are deceiving. Another vehicle has caught my eye and I need to make room so Mr. Kent is up for sale. The only 2 flaws I know of on the car are that is has a few rock chips as any car this age will have, and the previous owner glued the back window and the two seams on the top, that run parallel to the window. He did a very good job and there are no issues. I expect the top will last at least another 2 or 3 years so I was/am not concerned.Cash or wire transfer only. Buyer responsible for shipping but I will be glad to coordinate with your shipper to get the car on the road to you.
For some reason the eBay monster won't accept the VIN in the information above. The VIN is valid, you can even Google the VIN and it comes up for this car but eBay's software is rejecting it and from what I read this is fairly common.
