The second-generation Camaro debuted as a 1970 1/2 model and brought the Camaro a more European design flare with the classic long hood and short rear deck proportions. Lower, longer, and sleeker, the early second-generation Camaros have finally started to receive their due in the collector car world. This beautiful 1970 model split bumper Camaro has been the recipient of a full restoration and now has the power, handling, braking, and performance to match it beautiful styling. Finished in Cranberry Red with black painted racing stripes, this Camaro is a very understated performer. The wheels are modern aluminum interpretations of the original Camaro five spoke Rallye wheel but sized for wider tires and much bigger brakes. Under the hood is a GM ZZ5 crate engine that makes 400hp from 350 cubic inches. This aluminum head powerhouse has also received FAST fuel injection, MSD ignition, long tube headers, and some chrome pieces to add some sizzle to the steak. Shifting gears is a joyous thing thanks to a Tremec TKO-600 five speed with a .56 fifth gear overdrive and a Hurst Blackjack shifter. Out back sits a Moser Engineering 12-bolt GM axle with 3.55 gears and Posi traction. The suspension has been lowered and upgraded with a Hotchkis Stage 2 kit, while Wilwood 6 piston front and single piston rear disc brakes bring this Camaro to a stop with a quickness. On the inside this Camaro has a completely new interior with knit and vinyl buckets, Dakota digital gauges, Vintage A/C, power steering and power brakes. This Camaro has it all, but it won't be here long. Contact Brian at 352-307-1968 and take this beauty home today! Financing and transport services are available!
