This 1972 Buick Skylark Sun Coupe has been refurbished and modified. The frame was powder-coated and the body repainted in its current shade of red, complemented by a white vinyl roof and pinstripes. It features a GS Stage 2-style hood and emblems, bright rocker and wheel opening moldings, Sun Coupe badging, and chrome bumpers.
The Mag Rambler alloy wheels with Buick logo center caps are wrapped in BFGoodrich tires (245/40 front, 255/45 rear). The car is equipped with TA Performance four-wheel disc brakes, a Camaro-style steering gearbox, and Hotchkis Sport Suspension sway bars, springs, and bushings for enhanced handling.
On the interior, the front and rear bench seats are re-trimmed in white leather with matching door panels and new carpeting.
The 455ci Buick V8 engine features an Imagine Injection electronic fuel injection system, a March Performance serpentine system, long-tube headers, a Fuelab fuel pressure regulator, an HEI-style distributor, and a Champion aluminum radiator with dual electric cooling fans.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a Tremec five-speed manual transmission and a 2.72:1 PosiTraction rear end. The frame was powder-coated black during the refurbishment, and repairs to the clutch hydraulic system were completed in June 2021. A dual-outlet exhaust system with Thrush Turbo mufflers ensures an impressive sound.
