Here is a  MK3 VW Jetta that is a running, licensed, and currenty tagged vehicle until AUG 2024, that is sold as is with the buyer fully aware that this car will need motor repair in order to be driven on the street safely, so this is a project, with lots of good parts..   While it is able to dive at the moment it will need the head gasket repaired very soon, like before you go out on the highway during rush hour, that being said it can be driven gently around the neighborhoods as is.   It has 290,500 on the odometer, but the motor was rebuilt at 168,100 miles. I have owned it since 2010, and taken good care of it using OEM quality parts. The heater core has been replaced, driver seat replaced with another one thats a close match, Multi function switch in the column has been replaced, clockspring in the steerting colum, all struts replaced, front brakes are new, all coolant hoses replaced multiple times. The 5 speed close ratio manual transmission shifts really smooth, I have Royal Purple 75W-90 in that and it has always performed well. I used 5w-40 full synthetic in the motor , but the compression values as of the end of 2023 are irregular ranging form 150psi to 130 psi in some of the cylinders, that's why I took it off the road. I recently got the OEM quality parts included in the deal see picture for details, but this will be a very labor intesive project and would probably be easier to take the motor out of the car to perform this repair since the timing chains are on the transmission side of this generation VR6. It currenty has stop leak in the coolant, but can be flushed out prior to the repair being made. Oil on the dipstick is still good.

  The title is clean, the car is a true Oregon car with no rust, some clear coat damage on the hood and infront of the sunroof on  the cab from the power washer getting to close. The Bose sound system is old but still sounds amazing. Clean, odor free leather interior. Also there is some major issues with the power door locks and passenger side and rear windows, not working, instead tripping the alarm system when you push the window button. Car is still quiet and starts right up, cold idle is 1,000 rpm, once warmed up is 800 rpm,  just bought a new battery in March 2024. Tires aren't that old but are low on tread. Drives super smooth at high speeds. Repair manual is included with 14 years of reciepts and service records.

This could be a very cool and fast car if you have the knowledge of how to work on these 12valve VR6 motors. Engine code is - AAA.  0-60 time  = 6.6 seconds .  The picture of tha dash taken apart was from 2022 when I replacead the heater core. All other pictures are current. The car can be started and driven onto a trailer as is, or if your around my area, possibly just drive it home.  I have this for sale locally as well, and can end this early if sold here. .
