Up for sale is my 1996 Toyota Land Cruiser FZJ80. Over the
past 2 years, I have made many repairs and upgrades, including rebuilding the
upper part of the engine. The vehicle is currently road ready and has no issues
(other than the oil pressure indicator isn’t working properly). All vehicle functions
work well and even the air conditioning has had a brand-new compressor put in
(air blows very cold, see photo with green/blue test indicator tabs). The vehicle is mechanically and electrically sound. It
starts right up and drives for hours without any issue. I recently drove it
from Wichita Falls to north of San Antonio and back without a hitch! As said,
many parts have been replaced or rebuilt. They are as follows but not limited
to:
Rebuilt head (valves, gaskets, resurfacing, etc)
A/C compressor
Belts
Fuel Pump
Rebuilt front end bearings and knuckles (new birfield joints,
seals)
Brake master cylinder/booster
Distributor, wires, coil, spark plugs
Upgraded stereo with backup camera
BF Goodrich KO2 tires
Fan clutch & shroud
Throttle & camshaft position sensors
New engine oil pump/timing cover
Many new vacuum lines
Professionally reupholstered front seats
And much more that I can’t remember!!
I did all this work because I planned to keep this vehicle as
a primary driver for myself. However, my wife and I are expecting and the money
would be better suited for other things. Cosmetically, the vehicle is in great
shape. The paint has some minor imperfections here and there, but no major
issues (some small chips, very minor fading spots, etc). Please note, this is a
much rarer paint color, and has gold trim. Most land cruisers have the normal
chrome emblems and either white, tan, or green paint. The vehicle undercarriage
is free of any rust issues. It has a Texas blue title. This is NOT a rebuild/salvage
as many are, and appears to have been operated almost entirely on the highway/no off road abuse.
This vehicle, like most Land Cruisers, does not have a triple lock differential system.
