2003 Mercedes SLK 320, 87,000 miles, always a southern car, dependable and with extensive preventive maintenance history. Since I have owned it I have replaced the belts, hoses, radiator, shocks, various sensors and modules, and the headliner. The paint still shines up nicely and I have driven the car on 600-mile trips several times. There are usually no dash lights activated, though the ESP/BAS light comes on intermittantly but usually goes off after turning the steering wheel lock-to-lock several times and then driving it. If not, I have the usual culprit, the steering sensor, to install, but it never bothered me enough to do so.  Everything works (including cold AC) except the hardtop convertible either doesn't open or needs "help" doing so. I had the top fully serviced and a new headliner installed last year ($4,000+), but then tiny dark spots indicating a small top hydraulic fluid leak appeared just above the windshield. Hopefully, that valve, which they rebuilt, was not sufficiently tightened and can be easily repaired and the reservoir topped off to work again. The paint on the driver's side mirror is a bit bubbly, and the interior is typical for a car this age. When the gas tank is full, there is a smell of gasoline in the car for awhile. I mitigated it by simply not filling the tank more than half full, but a new gas tank comes with the car. I just never bothered to have it installed, since there are no actual leaks discernable. The car is dependable, the tires have less than 10,000 miles on them, and the whole thing is extremely fun to drive. All my maintenance records are available. The price is low for a reliable and desirable car, even though it is a driver and not a show-er. Car is also listed locally so sale may be cancelled at any time. Near MYR airport; fly in, drive home.
