Vehicle Details
I am listing this beautiful 1950 Ford F1 pickup for a very good friend of mine. He is incredibly particular and this truck is impeccable condition. It is a show-winning truck and it's one of the coolest builds that I've ever seen and I've seen a bunch of them.
This truck was found behind a barn some years ago and was torn down and reconstructed. I will walk you around the truck and describe to you the way that I see it and there is also a YouTube video on my channel that details everything including a test drive.

We'll start with the exterior which I would definitely rate a 10 out of 10. The truck was completely torn down to bare metal and repainted in a beautiful blue color with silver fenders and accents. It has hand-painted pinstripes and it has a custom electric metal tonneau cover that operates from a switch inside the cab that is also removable with a couple of pins. It's also incredibly watertight. It has a wood bed of course that looks really good all new stainless trim, rechromed original bumpers and a set of torque thrust wheels with BF Goodrich tires The stance is incredible it's not too low but it's not too stock looking either it has tinted window glass that's brand new to help with the vintage AC unit. The paint is flawless and has been kept in a garage under a cover at all times unless it was winning a show. It's a very unique color scheme that you just don't see often on these trucks and personally I think it's one of the nicest paint color combinations that I've ever seen.
The interior is also a 10 out of 10. The original seat was completely rebuilt and recovered with black leather. It features a relocated gas tank using a 1965 mustang fuel cell underneath the truck bed. Omega gauges, Ididit steering column, fully functional vintage Auto Air with, Two-Speed electric windshield wipers, painless and ez wiring harnesses and a three-spoke steering wheel. The interior was intentionally kept as original as possible while incorporating the upgrades for drivability. I have ridden in this truck and I can tell you it's pretty cool it's actually very comfortable it rides very well and the air conditioning does a good job here in Florida.
And mechanically is my favorite part and I would definitely give it a strong 10 out of 10. The drivetrain in this truck was donated out of a late '80s Ford crown Victoria with low mileage. And with that came a 302 that's been upgraded with a mild comp cam, Sanderson ceramic coated headers, NASCAR style stainless exhaust, Edelbrock performer intake manifold, petronix GM style distributor, flame thrower epoxy filled ignition coil and Holley 570 carburetor with electric choke and it even has the vintage air kickup solenoid for the idle kickup during AC engagement. It has a custom built aluminum radiator, a 1950s Oldsmobile or Cadillac air cleaner and LED lights strategically located underneath the air cleaner to light up the Chrome. The battery was relocated into the bed to clean up the firewall. This truck fires right up and runs great.
Underneath it's got a fat man mustang ll type front suspension with adjustable upper control arms and adjustable coilover shocks, Four-Wheel disc brakes with e-brake, power rack and pinion steering, original Ford aod overdrive transmission, and an 8.8 in rear end with a 373 gear. The rear suspension is leaf spring from chassis engineering. All lokar hardware was used for the shift linkage etc and everything is routed very well not a single zip tie was used. The power brake booster and master cylinder has been relocated under the truck as well. There is an extensive section underneath this truck on the YouTube video that will show all of this in detail.
This truck has won several shows and has been featured on the cover of a summit racing catalog. It is truly fantastic and if you have any questions at all please feel free to drop me a message my friend Steve is the actual owner of the truck I will be happy to pass the questions along to him and get you a quick answer. Please check out the YouTube video you will see the truck top to bottom inside out and driving down the road.
