Vehicle Details
Very nice 5 window 1953 chevy 3100, mustang front end, disc brakes in the front, drum in rear, frame mounted(motor and cab forward panels are bolted to the frame-fixes some of the twist and looks really nice-also has a sway bar over rear axle), Chevy 350 V8, automatic transmission, dual exhaust with crossover pipe and stainless end covers-well done-tucked up tight, new wiring harness for whole truck when restored including fuse box, LED head and running lights, electronic gauges light up at night, nice interior with Chevy accents, runs and drives great, the truck has a lot of nice little touches including powder coated pulleys and alternator, Edelbrock carburetor, brake master cylinder and booster tucked under the cab-clean, battery also under the cab-access through floor hatch, nice front cowling that fronts the electric radiator fan-electric fan to keep it cool when the truck is stopped or moving slowly, battery terminals integrated into the -passenger side of seat-so you don't have to open the floor board hatch to get to the battery on a jump start or charge-not needed often but kind of handy, and a trickle charger-for when in storage, the spare tire holder was made custom and the fender was modified by cutting a piece out and flipping it over, looks really good and is a pretty cool piece of craftsmanship, all the windows are good-no chips or cracks, doors close properly as well as properly working door handles, everything functions, wing windows-open and close, hood vent, heater, windshield wipers, radio-all work, usb chord connected to the radio-charge and link to the radio. Overall it is a very nice truck, my dad purchased it from a shop in Colorado that had restored it, and then spent several years making little upgrades and adding nice cosmetic touches-it won some awards at local shows. The restoration was frame off, complete restoration, the engine bay, motor, under body, transmission and frame are painted. The truck is a show car turned driver, if you want turn key-here it is, if you're are looking for a restoration hot rod-here it is, a complete truck, I will try to figure out which transmission and rear end are on it(if you recognize and know what is under there, i'd like to know-email me), the bed is stained wood and has painted metal strips(stainless steel). The paint on this truck is far from perfect, it was used as a errand truck by dad, it has a new-when restored-paint job; the paint looks good but buyer should know there are scratches and dings, true daily driver, it is reliable, has good brakes, running lights, plenty of power, and can run down the highway pretty good(made a three hour, on the freeway trip, from Spokane to Missoula over two mountain passes-no problem, I am glad to answer any questions from serious buyers, please don't take up my time if you are kicking tires or with peanut gallery comments-I would be glad to learn any information you might gather about the truck from the pictures-by no means am I an expert on '53 Chevys. The mileage since restoration is 8,439. Title in hand, ready to go. Thanks for looking. Great truck, a real head turner-everyone loves it-dad had over 50k into this truck, we are selling it below market value for a quick sale.
