For half a century and twelve generations Cadillac produced the Eldorado. It was always top of the line or 2nd in line depending on time period. The tenth generation was produced from 1979 through 1985 and would be built in either a coupe or convertible beginning again in 1984. In 1985, if you pulled up in your neighborhood in one of these everyone knew you were the king. These cars were so "classy" and full of extras. This particular last year for the 10th generation is in absolute stunning original condition. The paint, chrome, interior, mechanicals etc....are all fantastic. Everything seems to be in working order. The car runs, drives, shifts and stops very nicely. The original exhaust is still on it and has a hole in the muffler making it a touch loud, but that is the only thing that I can see that would need attention if you desired to do so. (priced accordingly). This car never appears to have been smoked in which also makes it pretty rare!. The stainless roof is such a cool feature and really sets it apart as does the magnificent two tone paint of what I believe to be Dark Red Pearl and Light Sandstone Firemist. The automatic trunk mechanism still operates flawlessly. There are no funky smells or leaks and no clunking or rattling from anywhere. This really is a tremendous automobile that stickered for over $30,000 in 1985, over $90,000 in todays money. Only 3,300 of these stainless steel roof beauties were built in 1985 and this one is a true survivor.
