Launched for 2004 and only produced through 2006, the modern GTO marked the return of Pontiac's legendary nameplate to the showroom for the first time since 1974. It also stands as one of the final new models from GM's Pontiac division as it fought the good fight to remain in existence in the tough economic times of the 2000s. Design and development were accelerated, thanks to the fast Monaro CV8 that was already enjoying success at Holden, GMs Australian division. Styling and chassis revisions for North American buyers gave the new mid-size 2+2 a clear Pontiac identity. Plenty of muscle was delivered by a 350 HP GM LS1 V-8 and a choice of automatic or manual transmissions, with big news for 2005 being the hot new 400 HP LS2 V-8. With its quality engineering, full load of amenities, and obvious sub-14 second dragstrip performance, the GTO was a winner, but corporate bean counters sadly killed the GTO in 2006. Production numbers were never high, with 15,740 for 2004, a dip to 11,069 for 2005, and an uptick to 13,948 in 2006.

Featuring the 400-horsepower GM LS2 V-8 engine and driver-preferred 6-speed manual transmission, this final-year Pontiac GTO from 2006 is an outstanding, exceptionally original vehicle. Featuring 4-wheel independent suspension, the GTO includes 4-wheel anti-lock power disc brakes, power rack-and-pinion steering, a limited slip differential, and traction control with on/off switch. Amenities and options include A/C, cruise control, comprehensive instruments and power windows and door locks. Select performance upgrades include a performance exhaust system and Vornado intake insert. Paint is original and the GTOs mileage is just 26,700 at the time of writing. New tires have been fitted and we have just completed an inspection, service, and detailing. A Monroney printout, listing all standard and optional equipment, accompanies the vehicle, along with a clean Carfax history report.

Offering awesome all-around performance and ready to enjoy to the fullest, this 6-speed 2006 Pontiac GTO is simply collector-grade throughout. Contact us to experience it first-hand, obtain full details and make it yours today!

Terms:

Bidders with less than 5 feedbacks must contact us prior to bidding. If you do not contact us, we reserve the right to cancel your bid without notice. Please do not ask our reserve price, simply bid what you are comfortable with.

Your winning bid is a contract to purchase the vehicle, not a "come, look, and negotiate." This is a serious auction for serious buyers only. Please ask all relevant questions prior to bidding. All vehicles are sold as-is. By placing a bid, you are agreeing to these terms of sale.

Winning bidder must communicate with Seller by phone within 24 hours of the end of auction to make arrangements to complete transaction.  If no contact is made, we reserve the right to re-list the vehicle, sell it to the next highest bidder, or sell it otherwise.

If you are not comfortable with this, DO NOT BID!

As-Is:

The Last Detail has described the above-mentioned vehicle to the best of our ability, however, as with all pre-owned automobiles, the condition is subjective, and recommend that the buyer inspect and test drive the vehicle before finalizing their purchase.  The Last Detail shall and will make every reasonable effort to disclose any known defects associated with the vehicle at the buyer’s request prior to close of sale.  No allowances or set aside will be made on account of any incorrectness, imperfection, defect or damage. Any descriptions or representations are for identification purposes only and are not to be construed as a warranty of any type. It is the responsibility of the buyer to have thoroughly inspected the vehicle, and to have satisfied himself or herself as to the condition and value and to bid based upon that judgement solely.  It is the sole responsibility of the buyer to verify the existence of options, accessories and the vehicle condition before time of sale. Any and all differences must be addressed prior to the time of sale. The Last Detail assumes no responsibility for any repairs regardless of any oral statements about the vehicle.  Despite our best efforts to verify a vehicle’s mechanical condition, we are not able to warranty a manufacturer’s workmanship or a previous owner’s diligence in care of said vehicle.  There are no mechanical guarantees, expressed or implied. We will not be responsible for buyer’s remorse or issues to said vehicle once it has left our premises. We are being realistic; most of the cars we sell are vintage and by their very nature will need TLC and some degree of attention sooner or later.  Therefore, all vehicles are sold “AS IS”.  However, extended warranty options are available on most vehicles.  Please inquire if you are interested.

Mileage:

Vintage cars in excess of 10 years of age, in most US states, mileage may be recorded as “exempt”. The Last Detail makes no warranties as to the accuracy of the mileage indicated or shown and accepts no responsibility for any discrepancy with independent reports such as CarFax, Autocheck, etc. Unless the vehicle is advertised as an original mileage car, do not assume that the mileage/odometer reading is the actual mileage. It is simply what the odometer is reading at the time pictures are taken. MILEAGE IS NOT ACTUAL UNLESS STATED SO IN THE DESCRIPTION! Vehicles are test driven and mileage may vary at time of sale.
