I imagine most people have never seen a BE-1, so let me tell you a bit about it. For starters, BE-1s were never sold in the United States. This particular car was imported in 2021 and as far as I know, I am the second owner here in the United States.
Nissan, back in the late 80s and early 90s built a series of five cars (I believe that is right) - the BE-1, the PAO, the Figaro, at least one other model and possibly two other models. They were all very limited editions. (I also own a Figaro). Only 10,000 BE-1s were built. This car is a 1987.
Speaking to this BE-1, as well as my Figaro, I can tell you that not only do they get a lot of attention, but they absolutely are a hoot to drive. Much peppier than you might imagine. Quite easily keeps up with traffic. This BE-1 features a 987cc four cylinder mated to a 5 speed transmission (apparently the 5 speed was a somewhat scarce option and not many were selected this way). This particular car runs out quite well!
(You will notice the VIN number appears as all zeroes. This has to do with the number of digits in modern VIN numbers as opposed to older VIN numbers as in early Japanese cars. This car is registered here in Pennsylvania and the VIN number on the Pennsylvania is the VIN number stamped on the car - BK10002634. Hope that is understandable).
Some equipment highlights:

Sony CD/Cassette with graphic equalizer (I believe this to have been an option)
Locking fuel door

Pop-out rear windows
Front tow hooks

Upgraded front seats (for comfort sake) with patterned gray cloth
The speedometer is in KM, not in mph.......... the car is showing about 58K which converts to about 36,000 miles.
There really aren't any serious issues with the car - as far as I know, everything works as it should. I have included two pictures at the end of the picture section - the second last picture is meant to show a bit of bubbling under the rear tail light, and the last picture shows a tiny bit of bubbling just behind the right hand door mirror. Additionally, the picture of the rear end shows a tiny bit of rust under the other tail light. For those so inclined these would be easy fixes. In the old days (I'm 79 now and less inclined to take on projects than I once was - hey, that comes with old age! ha, ha). Anyway, an easy fix...
What else,,,,,,,,,,,, oh yes, I do not believe the a/c has been converted to the new gas, but, at the same time, the a/c works great.
The car is right hand drive - if you haven't driven a right hand drive car before don't worry too much about it. It seems to make you focus more and after driving it for a bit it does become natural. The hardest part is that the turn signal indicator and the wiper motor are on reverse sides of the steering wheel - so until you get use to that whenever you go to turn on the turn signal the wipers to on!!!
Some of you may want to know why I am selling it - well, as I said, I am now 79 years old and a lot closer to 80 than I like! The body just isn't up to the task any more....... I am now into larger, softer, quieter, automatic transmission cars with all kinds of bells and whistles that keep me safe.......... back up cameras are getting to be my favorite thing!
If you will be shipping the car I have the capability of keeping the car safely in my garage, and will be happy to assist your shipper.
PAYMENT: I would like full payment within 7 days, preferably by bankwire, and a $500 deposit within 48 hours.
WARRANTY: The easiest way to say it is NONE..... This vehicle is sold "as is" with no warranty made by the seller. As such, no warranties should be relied upon by the bidders when making bids.
But, all that being said, let me tell you that I have been on ebay since it began, have only positive feedback, and have sold a half dozen or more cars on ebay. My life motto is "life is too short to mess with people". Rest assured this car is being represented here as best I can do it,,,,,, no fudging on my part. (note my comments about the "bubbling", and the a/c for example).
So, I think that is a good writeup....... Please feel free to email me with any questions,,,,,,,,,,thanks much, Ray
P.S. As I started to fill in the rest of the ebay form I just realized I forgot the most important part - this listing is UNRESERVED with what I know to be an amazingly low reserve. That is all on purpose - my main interest is to move the last three cars out of my collection and to move on,,,,,,,,,, alas, that day has come.
