This ’71 Series 2 Europa is a rare “Else” version.  Bob Else, of J.A. Else car dealer in Englanddid his own modifications to new Europa’s. In this regard, he may have been the Don Yenko (’69 Camaro’s) or SteveSaleen (Mustangs) of England.  Themodifications included a different (red) valve cover, side intake manifold withWeber carb, header exhaust, dual gas tanks (all of which this car has) and adifferent cam shaft and paint job (Google JA Else Europa for more info).  This car has these features except for thepaint, and I cannot verify if the cam is different from stock.

I bought the car in ’06 as a project and has been garagekept since then.  The frame issolid.  At that time it needed sorting ofsome wiring, complete interior assembly and gear shift linkage sorting/repair.  The interior is now about 90% complete.  Center console and window controls needinstallation.  The doors could use betteralignment.  Wiring for lights and turnsignals is there but needs to be sorted.   The shift linkage is now completely sorted.  The brakes were gone through a while ago butare functional.   I recently replaced oneof the tires due to a leak.  The otherthree tires should be replaced.  Thewheels are unique but I believe they are specific to early 70’s time period.  The car appears to have been painted multipletimes.  There are some chips and general wearon white pearl paint.

I have started the car a couple of times and it ran allcylinders but died at idle.  I think thecarb needs to be rebuilt, which for a Weber means taking it apart and thoroughlycleaning it.

The car is sold as is, where is – no warranty written orimplied.  Please contact me with yourquestions.  I reserve the right to endthis auction at any time.  20 percentdown payment or full payment must be received within 3 days of end ofauction.  Full payment must be receivedwithin 7 days of end of auction.
