1979 Ford F150 4x4 long bed
300ci straight 6, 4spd manual trans, Np205 transfer case, Dana 44/9in, power steering and power brakes. Runs and drives, clean Oregon Title in hand. Turn key, ready to drive home and be a daily driver.
This is a nice truck that I have used as a daily driver for over a year. I have done a lot of work on the truck including the full fuel system, steering, brakes, engine top end and more. The body has some dents and imperfections but it is a solid truck with some character. All the lights work, cruises 65/70 down the interstate without issue, factory AM radio still works, 4wd works as it should. The odometer reads just over 2k miles but unknown how many times it has turned over, was around 95k when I got the truck.
The truck has a little bit of rust in a few spots but an overall solid truck. The rear fender well on the driver side has some rust and there is some starting near the rear bed corner. The passenger floorboard has some pin holes in it.
List of work done includes:
*New 33x12.50 tires ( less than 8k miles on them) mounted on classic Jackman 15x10 mag wheels.
*New Brakes front and rear: master cylinder, pads, calipers, turned rotors, repacked wheel bearings with new seals. New rear drums, wheel cylinders, shoes, hardware kit, park brake cables.
*New shocks front and rear, front axle u joints, tie rods, steering damper.
*New rear fuel tank, sending units front and rear, fuel filler hose, rubber fuel lines, front tank is a factory plastic unit so it was cleaned out.
*Engine has a rebuilt cylinder head, new pushrods, lifters, oil pump, water pump, fuel pump, starter, aluminum radiator, full gasket set, rebuilt carb, spark plugs, wires, distributor cap/rotor, High temp powder coat on intake and exhaust manifolds, new muffler,
*New windshield, windshield seal, rear window seal.
*New heater blower motor, heater core, resealed air box
*The bench seat was replaced with a rear seat from a 90 crew cab, it is in perfect condition.
*New Led running/turn signal/brake lights with electronic flasher, replaced damaged sockets, new headlights
The truck is ready to be a daily driver but it does have a few minor issues that include:
Rear fuel sending unit only works from full to 3/4 tank ( this was a new unit from LMC…)
Minor power steering leak
Minor leak from the transfer case shift rails
Minor oil leaks from engine.
The cab has a small water leak when it rains, coming from the seam between firewall and floorboard around the trans tunnel.
The tail pipe is going to need to be replaced in the future, has a few bad rust spots that have developed.
