1968 Ford Mustang Fastback 2+2 Eleanor Tribute

This car was bought in 2006 And needed a full restoration. The car was stripped down completely, then put on a rotisserie to be completely sandblasted  A couple minor holes in the floor pan were patched and welded.  there was no rust on the car which was a great starting foundation for the build of this car. The body kit, Carrol Shelby signature bucket seats and Carrol Shelby signature analog dash and JB headers were purchased from unique performance out of farmers branch Texas in 2006.  I have not yet seen the signature seats and dash anywhere else on a mustang. The body kit was molded to the car using a new product from 3M to adhesive the body kit to the car. The front headlight and rear tail light panel “gap lines”  were filled to make a cleaner/ smoother look. The entire undercarriage of the car was sprayed with a rhino liner like material to prevent any rusting. The car was originally painted per the specs of the gone in 60 second movie.  Pepper gray metallic with the black racing stripes. The interior dash and roll cage was painted to match the car.  After the completion of the building in 2007, driving the car around was problematic due to the amount of attention I was receiving. To combat this, I repainted the entire car the black racing stripe color. The color is all black, but under sunlight, you can see a subtle gold and silver flake embedded in the paint. The engine is a 351 Windsor bored over .40 with Edelbrock RPM performer intake and heads with Comp Cams Magnum Roller Rockers. The engine is  cooled by a Griffin aluminum radiator. The power goes through a Tremec  TKO 600 transmission, which is then connected to a custom-made aluminum driveshaft by Inland Empire Driveline. They connect to a Currie Enterprises 9” rear end with 3.89 gearing with Wildwood disc brakes.  Front tires are Kumho 215/45 R17. Rear are Goodyear Eagle 275/40  R17. The front struts are adjustable Varishock struts and springs by Chassisworks and The rear is a four link suspension by Cal-Trac. The front disc brakes are Stainless Steel Brakes Corporation.  There is a Total Control Products aluminum shock tower brace. The wheels are custom offset by Team Three Wheels. The steering column is adjustable and made by Flaming River with a wood LeCarra steering wheel. The stereo system is a pioneer head  with two door kick panel speakers and 2 , 8 inch subwoofers in the rear powered by two amplifiers. The dash and roll cage still match the original exterior colors of the car. The glove box – was signed by Caroll Shelby in 2007 and there is a certificate of authenticity that comes with the car to prove that special feature that you cannot get anymore. The electrical  system for the vehicle was provided by painless wiring. The battery has been relocated to the trunk and housed in a Taylor battery box. The gas fill tube has been relocated to the drivers quarter panel  that connects to a Scott Drake Mach 1 style gas cap for a more streamlined look. A hidden kill switch is installed to prevent thieves. A Classic Auto Air conditioner  has been installed for those hot summer cruises.  The brushed aluminum door interior door panels air from Burton & Bragg Reproductions. Simpson 5 point harness system for both driver and passenger. There really is too much stuff to list.  A non-refundable deposit of $2,000. is required within 48hrs.
