About this vehicle
The first-generation Viper was designed in-house at Chrysler by Tom Gale and utilizes composite body panels over a tubular steel space-frame chassis. This example is finished in Viper Red (PRN) and features fog lights, a removable soft vinyl top, a removable rear window, zip-up vinyl side windows, a tonneau cover, a forward-opening clamshell hood, and side-exit exhaust outlets. The 17? tri-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with Michelin XGT Z tires measuring 275/40 up front and 335/35 out back. The RT/10 is equipped with power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering, a four-wheel independent suspension, and four-wheel vented disc brakes with front Viper-branded calipers. 1992 models were not equipped with ABS. The 8.0-liter OHV V10 was factory rated at 400 horsepower and 450 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec T-56 six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.Vehicle Details

Aside for a couple of small typical flaws this serpent is in showroom condition, "typical" because most all 1992 RT/10's have them. There are some paint flaws/fish scaling in certain areas where you find fiber glass and/or curves. The only paint work we performed was the front bumper, because it had a lot of deep scrapes, and both rockers and that's because they tend to bubble up and if left untreated, they'll crack the paint and also oxidize. I simply had all 3 repainted professionally. Aside from that, no cosmetics, all original factory paint, interior, down to the tires.
The 1992 Dodge Viper RT/10's were all hand built and in super conservative numbers, a total of 285 were ever made for the year, 35 of which were sent overseas and 250 of them stayed in America. These cars are legendary statement pieces for any car collection. Their imperfection is what makes them perfect, imagine, Team Viper, each member working tirelessly day and night to make sure this vehicle was ready and up to Bob Lutz's standards..
