1965 Dodge Dart GT Convertible

Overview: This classic 1965 Dodge Dart GT convertible is a head-turner, finished in a vibrant yellow exterior over a sleek black vinyl interior. It is powered by a robust 273ci V-8 Power-pack engine with a four-speed manual transmission.

Exterior: The body, repainted during a refurbishment in the late 1990s, features a striking yellow finish complemented by a black power-retractable soft top. The exterior is adorned with chrome bumpers and trim, faux vents on the front fenders and doors, and 13" silver-finished steel wheels. Notable imperfections include paint chips, pitted chrome trim, a scratch on the driver’s side door and front fender, and a small dent on the passenger side lower rear fender, all detailed in the accompanying gallery.

Interior: The cabin is fitted with replacement black vinyl upholstery on the front bucket seats and rear bench, installed during the late 1990s refurbishment. Equipment includes lap belts, a heater, and a Sparkomatic AM/FM/cassette stereo (currently non-functional). The driver’s side armrest is loose due to broken plastic, and the driver’s side sun visor clip is also broken. The interior showcases a classic three-spoke steering wheel and a 120-mph speedometer, accompanied by auxiliary gauges for fuel level, water temperature, and amperage. The five-digit odometer displays 88k miles, believed to be accurate but not verifiable.

Mechanical: Under the hood, the 273ci V-8 engine features a four-barrel carburetor, producing a solid 235 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. This engine offers a powerful and engaging driving experience, true to its era.

Ownership: The car has been in our family since the 1990's. I acquired the vehicle in 2012 from my uncle, always garaged and it has been maintained with care ever since. This Dodge Dart GT convertible is a fine example of mid-60s American muscle, perfect for enthusiasts and collectors alike. I have a clean and clear Kansas car title in hand to the first qualified buyer.
