I’m selling my beloved project car. I’m only the second owner and have only had it a few years. I’ve been told by multiple Miata enthusiasts that its value is between $8,000 and $10,000 in its current condition. This was verified by the recent Jalopnik article. This was also validated when I searched online. This makes sense as I have close to $11K in parts and labor in it. Engine still needs work (see below). I’m asking $6900 so whoever gets it is getting a super deal as I'm eating around four thousand dollars .

Brand New OEM style Top
Sandblasted and powder coated OEM Rims
Complete Body refurbishment and Paint (garage kept afterwords)
Engine pulled and all seals replaced.
New Clutch and Clutch Cylinder
New headlights
Brand new fuel filters and lines.
BRAND NEW seatbelts (I got the best money can buy for obvious reasons)
Brand New Stereo including:
JVC KD-X470BHS Bluetooth headunit
ALPINE Alpine S-A32F Amplifier
KICKER 47KSC6504 KS Series 6.5" Coaxial Speakers
Kicker 8” subwoofer
Custom MiataBox passenger footwell subwoofer box.
Other repairs and fixes which are too numerous to note here.
Engine refresh / rebuild @ 183670 miles. Current miles 183,684 (only driven 14 miles since I had the engine pulled and replaced all the seals)
What else needs to be done?
Currently the engine is running rough as one cylinder isn’t firing. We’ve isolated the problem to the fuel injector but I haven’t had the time / ability to replace it yet. I do have a new one in a box that comes with the car. NOTE: I'm still having the car worked on when I am able and this may be fixed by the time you come and get it.
It has a crack in the windshield, but honestly I don’t think this needs to be replaced. It passes inspections and I don’t notice it when driving.
Minus the door panels, the interior is mostly in good shape, so I didn’t put much time / effort into it besides replacing the seat belts with brand new ones. You could reupholster the seats and replace the door panels if you wanted.
A/C needs to be charged and I'm told there is a slow leak. I’ve never used the A/C as if i’m driving it, the top is down. There are some other minor fixes, like the cable that releases the trunk from inside the car.
There is an oil leak and so I've lowered the price of the car to reflect this. Original asking was $7900. If I get the above mechanical problems fixed the asking price will go back to what it was to reflect that.
