First, I am not a dealer, and this is a private vehicle that was painstakingly restored to its current condition.   I have sold many pristine collectibles with the best feedback - because I tell the truth.   Please look at the many high end restorations I have sold.  This CJ8 was a dream of mine and I dove head in to create a true nut and bolt restoration - in other words, it was completely disassembled, and every nut, bolt, part, wire, etc., was either replaced, or refinished to like new condition.   I have spent over 90K to date, and started with an original and RARE unmolested 1982 Jeep CJ8 Black on Black PS Power Disk BrakesAutomatic  Laredo Jeep and just finished this 6 year restoration journey.   I decided to go with a new frame  ($2500) to ensure when I was done. that even that would look brand new and match the quality of this build.  We powder coated the frame ($1500) and utilized all grade 8 bolts throughout the build ($1200), or stainless steel bolts for aesthetics ($1000). I  installed completely new suspension; leaf's, shocks, brakes, lines, hoses ($4500), I mean everything.  We serviced the rear, completely rebuilt the original numbers matching 6 cylinder engine ($4500) (punched it .30 over), and then upgraded to a modern electronic ignition and installed fuel injection for modern drivability ($1900) - this literally runs and drives like a new vehicle and has tons of power with the upgrades starting with just a bump of the key.   We purchased a brand new tub/body ($6,000)  dash panel, hood, cowl, fenders ($2500), and all but the doors (they are in decent unrestored shape, and have never been placed onto the vehicle as I prefer the open ride, but the doors will come with the sale.  The steering column was rebuilt and is a tilt wheel ($1000) and is utilizing a orig steering wheel and yes, the horn works..lol.   The original rear tire carrier was restored and powder coated (these are as extinct and rare  as dinosaurs).  The entire interior, from the carpets, seats, seat belts, best top front and a back seats ($3500) every gauge, bezel (except for the working factory tachometer and the speedometer) was replaced.  We also of course installed new body bolts, bushings, all front end parts, brakes, rotors, tires, rims etc. - all new.  The paint and body was completed with amazing care and you cannot describe the depth and clarity.  IF you really want to see the paint quality, I loaded a photo showing  REFLECTIONS of my hand.  The Chrome grill, radiator support and stainless steps are new ($1500+)  and  highly polished and shine brilliantly in the sun.  The decals look like they came from the factory ($500). The buyer will get to pick their own  front bumper as I left it off for the look.  *f you ever want a hard top, there are many choices for under 2K.  I also never put wiper arms and blades and do not intend too, as it will never be out in bad weather (This does have the new wiper motor and track installed so no worries there as it functions properly if you just add the 25.00 arms. The lighting has all been converted to LED of course, and the head lights are very high end LED - you can’t miss this at night for sure (every bit of the wiring harness is new also) ($1000+) .  The roll bar is original and has been refinished and power coated in a matching high gloss finish. The underneath looks like a museum piece so pics cannot do it justice - it could be at a high end auction with mirrors underneath!  As a note, this only has about 600 miles on it since restoration and has no drivability issues.  Let’s talk about the drivability - it tracks perfectly straight down the road and the ride is amazing, you can literally not feel the road in the steering wheel and can let it go and it will drive completely straight!  I could go on and on, but I can tell you that you can bid with confidence, I have over 90K in this build but now I am listing it for nearly half so please don’t try to chop this price.   I am now in search of a Bently convertible if you are wondering why I am parting with this.  You can  bid and buy with confidence, this will be one of the nicest CJ8’s on the market today.  I  will be glad to help with meeting a shipper, and in answering any questions, if you want a rare piece of drivable Americana this is it!  Sean. 2677674780. Payment:  I accept cash, wire, certified check (but will only release title when funds clear my account).
