Three things I would like to offer insight on because of AutoCheck's failure to provide a fair, and accurate report:

1. The autocheck shows a "reported accident" in 2008 back when we lived in Illinois. This was written up as an "accident" because legally, especially in IL, law enforcement is required to file a report because it occurred on private property. People will form their own opinions and likely jump to the worst possible conclusions as to the extent of the actual damage, however, I was present when this happened and it took place in a parking lot when another driver misjudged the distance they had and reversed into our rear bumper. There was no frame or structural damage whatsoever.

We were parked, and I was a passenger in the car when this happened.

We had it repaired recently, but the scrape was so minor, we just chose to live with it for 10+ years.

2. There is a clerical error in the odometer reporting in 2018 and affects AutoCheck's overall vehicle "score." Prior to our move to California, We took it to a shop for a pre-trip inspection but they recorded our mileage incorrectly and the result is shown as an "error" on the report. The current mileage is 106,681 miles and that is accurate.

3. The report shows 3 owners, this is also incorrect and affects AutoCheck's overall "score." My mom is the second owner. She bought it as a lease trade-in in 2007 and changed the title over from our home state to California several years ago after we moved. Autocheck counts the interstate title transfer as a change in ownership which is incorrect.

This is an exceptional example of a Jaguar X-Type Sportwagon (or, Estate, as its called in the U.K.) equipped with AWD and the 3.0 V6 in Quartz Gray Metallic.

There are many Jaguar X-Type sedans available, however there are far fewer Sportwagon (Estate) variants still around with low mileage.

After receiving so many (mostly) positive responses to a previous "car for sale" ad that I made, my mom and I thought it might be a good idea to list her car for sale as well.

This was her daily driven vehicle until very recently.

My parents bought this car as a lease trade-in almost 20 years ago and have taken great care of it.

They kept it garaged when not in use and mainly drove it to run errands or visit us.

It has always been kept current on service and maintenance which would include regular oil changes and various other time/mileage based service interval related items.

More recently, it has almost new tires, new front CV axles and a new set of brake pads/rotors.

The car has never caused her any trouble or left her stranded.

Some people have had different experiences with luxury cars that aren't always favorable, however, this car has truly been a blessing.

As I mentioned previously, it has never been in any accidents or collisions, however, it did have a scrape on the rear bumper from a parking lot incident. We had the bumper taken off and repaired by a reputable body shop.

The biggest motivation for the sale has to do with my mothers inability to get around as easily and we determined that it makes more sense to list it for sale rather than hold onto it, as it costs more to keep it registered and insured than it does to actually drive and enjoy it. So, economically, we think this is the right decision.

We are not desperate for a sale, but I will be pricing it with respect to some other X-Type Wagons like it that have sold previously.

According to eBay, there were two that sold recently around the $10,000 range (a red one and a blue one) so I think, given the condition ours is in, that $9900 is a fair, yet, competitive price.

The car is also listed for sale locally and is subject to a local sale at any time. Please inquire first before clicking Buy It Now.
