Vehicle Details

2012 F150 crew cab 4x4 5.0 former LE vehicle. It has a factory tow package with 4 and 7 pin harness 35 gallon tank, dash tow controller, tow hitch and extendable tow mirrors. It has running boards, Kenwood GPS stereo with backup camera. It comes with all terrain tires with good tread left on them. Power windows, cruise control, AC, cloth interior and rubber floor. The bed has bed liner but has a couple of chipped out spots. I have owned it for about 5 years and driven this truck on weekends and trips.

A couple of years ago the front power rack and pinion unit developed a problem where it would stick on turns. I replaced the rack with a new one and also replaced the tie rods, upper and lower ball joints, shocks, springs and steering shaft. Essentially the front end is new with a few thousand miles on it and it steers great and is tight.

The clear coat has brush scuffs on the sides see closeup picture. There is a faint outline of the sheriff badge icon on the front doors. The tailgate has a dent on the left side. It still opens and closes.

The transmission has a slow seeping leak from the front seal. It has had this for a while and has not gotten any worse. It does not leave a puddle and registers nearly full on the dipstick. I have not done anything with this as it has not gotten worse.

The intake valves are sticking intermittently causing the engine idle to be off from time to time. It has thrown codes before P0011/$07E8 P0012/07E8 P0300/$07E8 P0304/$07E8.

These are for system performance bank 1 over advance and retard, multiple random misfire and cylinder 4 misfire. It appears that the valve sticking is a known problem and Ford improved the later motor. It is absolutely driveable. It tows quite well but will need the valves cleaned for peak performance. When you rev up the motor the sticking effect goes away. I cleared the codes about two weeks ago and drove over a hundred miles without returning. It has current Oregon plates good through August of 2024.

I will include 4 extra tires on aluminum rims and an extra tailgate. The tailgate is white and marginally less dented.
