Very rare – unbelievable restoration
This Chevelle was built at the Arlington, Texas plant and was a rust free nice example prior to the restoration. This SS396 Chevelle is quite unique and it has some extremely rare options, seldom seen on Chevelles. Some of these rare options include: Power windows (1 of 20,792 made), power locks (1 of 5,482 made) , the ZL2 ducted (cowl induction) hood system, 3.31 ratio rear end, Posi-traction rear end, bucket seats with center console, power steering, aftermarket ice cold air-conditioning, an AM/FM radio in dash with a custom installed newer stereo with amp in the trunk under the rear package shelf, tilt steering column, comfort grip 3-spoke steering wheel included with the sale (the car now has a custom installed Budnik steering wheel) and front bumper guards. Standard SS options on the car include power disc brakes, dual exhaust with chrome extensions and F41 special performance suspension. Some aftermarket goodies include Hotchkis suspension, Budnik wheels with Michelin redline tires, Holley Sniper Fuel injection. This is a rare opportunity to own a rare and unbelievably restored 1970 Chevelle SS396. This restoration was a true labor of love and it shows it. No way this Chevelle could be built for my reserve price, not including the car itself. This Chevelle is a collector grade vehicle that will earn you money the longer you keep it (more than in a savings account). The values for these original documented cars are going nowhere but up, I am not a dealer. I have a collection of cars, including this one, which I keep in my air-conditioned garage. Only reason I am selling is to free up space. If you need your wife’s, girlfriend’s or mother’s permission to bid, get that before you place a bid. If you pay with a personal check or cashiers check or bank check, according to my bank, the check must clear, so please give that time before you pick up the vehicle. Good luck!
