1948 Chevy 3100 shop truck. This has been my personal truck since 2015 which is also when the build began. Soon after purchasing I realized the truck had come under significant wrong doing in the past which needed immediate rectification. The cab received extensive metal work and panel replacement in order to achieve a virtually rust free finish. The chassis was completely swapped with the correct Chevy s-10 regular cab, long bed chassis with custom fabricated cab and bed mounts. Afterwards the chassis received a complete media blasting and was finished with multiple coats of POR-15.  Rear Suspension is a custom 4-link design with a GM 8.5 rear end of the proper length to fill out those rear fenders appropriately. Front suspension components were completely replaced and tubular upper and lower control arms from Fatman Fabrication were installed. QA1 single adjustable coilover shocks appear on all 4 corners. Front brakes are stock s-10 with all new components installed at time of build and rear are stock aluminum drums. The original drivetrain was a 350/350 setup but in 2020 the engine was replaced with a 6.0 LS based engine with upgraded camshaft, valve springs and injectors and was dyno tuned at a local shop. Practically every component was replaced, repaired, cleaned and painted on this build.

I've been a eBay member since 2001 and a seller for most of that time. I have an unblemished feedback rating and I believe in setting the proper expectations so the buyer knows exactly what they're buying. With that said, below is a honest list of "issues" or what I feel the truck "needs".

Paint and Body would need addressed entirely before painting. Two areas on back of cab inboard from the cab corners being the worst spots. Cab corners were done prior to my ownership.

Interior needs completed. carpet, armrests, visors, headliner ( I have a new in the box headliner) will need rear headliner bow.

No heat, air conditioning or wipers.

Needs Window/door weather stripping

Original gauges are inop, except speedometer which is inaccurate. Would need to replace driven gear and speedo gear for speed to be accurate.

Rear window glass is cracked.

Front tires rub a little bit if steering wheel is turned too far. Not under normal driving and turning.

Fuel cell leaks from the top until fuel level drops. I believe the vent is to blame.

Check engine light comes on and goes off due to higher idle than stock.

Comes with all the creeks and rattles associated with a 76 year old truck

This truck is an awesome shop truck and is the only truck I own so I use it as a truck was intended. It is also a great cruiser and has incredible highway manners. It is not perfect by any stretch and still has needs as mentioned above. Over the years I've been driving and tinkering on it but in recent years I've just been driving and enjoying it for what it is. Someone willing to take this truck to the next level will benefit greatly, I'm just not the guy to take it there.

Those who have sold vehicles before know that it's difficult to list everything and this listing is no different. i encourage buyers to ask questions as I know I've left out a few details. Pictures were taken at various stages of the build and I've logged plenty of mileage since some photos were taken.

Please note this vehicle is listed for sale locally so it's possible this auction could end early.

Buyer is responsible for any and all shipping arrangements.

Will discuss payment details with winning bidder once auction has ended.

Thanks and happy bidding.
