Highlights
Long one of the Cadillac's most vaunted nameplates, the Eldorado entered its ninth generation in 1971. Bigger and more luxurious than ever before, the car received a 500ci (8.2L) V8 exclusive to the model and nearly every period luxury available as standard or as an option. Minor updates in 1972 and more substantial revisions in 1973 & 1974 ensured the car remained relevant. However, like all things, the excesses of the Eldorado were not to last. By 1976, it was clear that upcoming safety regulations and emissions standards would make production of the Eldorado convertible and the large V8 untenable.
Therefore, rather than be relegated as a historical footnote, GM's marketing team elected to use this as an opportunity to make something special. As the changes coincided nicely with America's bicentennial, it was decided that the final 200 Eldorado convertible would feature a special package celebrating both the country and itself. Each of these was produced with identical Cotillion White paintwork with Red and Blue pinstripes over a White leather interior featuring Red leather piping and essentially every option as standard. A power-folding White top hidden by fiberglass tonneau 'parade' covers ensured the car was unmissable. Naturally, these cars became instant collectibles, even with the later re-release of the Eldorado convertible in 1984 (albeit one converted by ASC rather than a true factory production vehicle).

Showing only 28 miles from new and featuring essentially very conceivable option as standard, this investment-grade Eldorado represents the best GM had to offer at the time of production. If it is not feasible for you to personally perform an inspection, we will gladly help facilitate an inspection by an independent service center of your choice and will make delivery arrangements of the vehicle for this purpose. All vehicles are sold in “AS IS” condition. Extended warranty options are available on most vehicles. Please be advised that no verbal statements concerning any vehicle constitutes a representation or warranty of said vehicle. Our goal is to provide you with the best service and buying experience as possible. All purchases include an additional $385 processing fee which covers the processing of paperwork, pre-vehicle delivery costs, FedEx shipping fees, and a 30-day temporary registration plate so that the vehicle can be driven prior to the title transfer. In regards to winning bidders and Buy It Now customers: All winning bidders and Buy It Now bidders are encouraged to fly out and personally inspect the vehicle. If you deem the vehicle is not as represented upon personal inspection, we will not only refund your deposit, but will also reimburse your airfare at the cost of a coach ticket. Feedback must be left at the time of delivery upon final inspection.
Pertaining to non-eBay winners: Anyone who has provided a deposit but whose purchase is still pending, please note that said vehicle will not be held and is subject to being sold at any time until all contingencies are removed and the purchase order is signed.
