The car was purchased in 2018 after having been sitting for 30 years, and subsequently a restoration began. There was some light rust on the car that was repaired, and a new driver’s side floor pan was welded in. After being sandblasted, a new coat of its original color Chamonix paint was applied.

This 1600 has new front seats and rear bench. New headliner. A new MOMO Heritage California Mahogany wood steering wheel. New rear bumper. New starter, new spark plugs, new coil and distributor cables. New fuel lines. Original front disc brake calipers were rebuilt and reinstalled with steel braided brake lines. The rear has new drum brakes. The hand brake was refreshed with new cables and holds tight. New wheel bearings all around. New Koni adjustable shocks, with Ireland Engineering springs (front springs have 2 coils cut out of them to lower the front end.) Original Solex carburetor was rebuilt. New Ireland Engineering aluminum radiator installed with all new silicone hoses. New Ireland Engineering stainless exhaust, with new downpipe. New Ireland Engineering suspension bushings all around, and motor mounts. Except for the front windshield, the rest of the glass is original. New window seals. The door cards have been restored, with new plywood backing.

The brake booster has been bypassed, but is included in the sale. The heater box has also been bypassed, and is included in the sale. Original center console with radio is included. The car has its all original engine, 4-speed transmission, and longneck differential. All fluids have been changed. Sitting on original 13 inch steel wheels with chrome hubcaps. Oil service recently performed. Have receipts for most of the new parts.
