About this vehicle

Veichle has been sitting for the past 10 years or so. I have only had the veichle for a couple of months. Was planning a restoration on the veichle, but as it always happens, life throws you a curveball. I don’t have any records or really much of any information on the veichles besides the fact it is titled and registered in Pensyslvania where I take it has spent a decent amount of time. The gentleman I purchased the veichle from owned the car for 20+ years as the end of his ownership had the veichle sitting in the yard of a local shop.

Vehicle Details

As you very well see, the car is in a very rough and poor state due to neglect and the veichles long slumber. Rust is present on exterior Panels including rear quarter panels, front hood, bottom corners of front doors, spare tire well (trunk). Redundant I know but I only wish to clarify and strike the importance of knowing what you are getting into.

Exterior

Up for sale is my 1973 BMW Bavaria otherwise know as a BMW e3. The Bavaria represented BMW’s early and fortified prescne of the “sports sedan” here in the states. Grunting up against the competitive British cars of the era, this Bavaria displays what it means to be a true Bavarian motor works veichle. Even in its Delapatated current form, the car still has its wonder and charm between the headlights, stance, and large sleek body. All in all, despite the bumps, bruises, and poor condition,

Interior

Like everything else on the car, the interior has most ceartainly seen better days. There was a mouse nest in the glovebox that spread into the ducting to the blower motor. Smell of rat piss and sh** is present. Drivers window has fallen off track and needs to be addressed. All panels are dry and need a thorough steam clean, decontamination, and hydration. Gear lever shifts through all gears. Seats are still Comfy despite there age and condition of the car. Like I said, despite its current state, everything is there and present.

Engine

When I got the car, I checked to see if the motor spun freely by hand. When I began my initial turn, I received resistance. In light of attempting to preserve the motor as best I can, I pulled all 6 plugs and filled a copious amount of Marvel Mystery oil to lubricate the cylinder walls. I never drained the oil after but coming back some time later, the motor spun freely without the initial resistance I received. Note that I have not stated the engine and does not run at the moment. Please not that all 3 Webber Carbs are not included with the sale. I say again, ALL 3 WEBBER CARBS ARE NOT INCLUDED WITH THE SALE. Brakes appear to be seized and all 4 calipers will need rebuild as well as 4 . Suspension needs bushing, strut/shock, Rust is most proably the biggest issue with the veichle. The hood is rotted out and needs replacement. Bottoms of broth front doors rusted due to water ingress. Wheel wells have rust on outter lips. Spare wheel floor pan rusted away and needs large patch. Despite all these major rust spots, the unibody construction remains solid and intact. Only Exterior body panels have faced the rath of mothers natures rust.
