This Lovely Award Winning Auburn 12 Sedan has an interesting and well documented history. The car was purchased new by Bill and Emma Schulz of Butternut WI. Mr. Schulz was very entrepreneurial and operated a Power Generating Facility serving the town. He later opened and operated an Auburn Sales Outlet with his son Melvin as General Manager, the pair also founded a wooden handle plant capable of making up to 10,000 handles per day. According to Auburn Historian Randy Ema it was not unusual for Auburn Customers to become small dealers. with the requirement being as few as 3 cars being purchased up front. The Schulz's kept the car until 1950 when it was sold to Mr. Archie Becker, who kept the car until 1992. Mr. Becker always wanted to restore the car but passed away before being able to do so. The car was sold to Dr. John Flannery who commissioned a ground up body off restoration with completion in 1998. The current caretaker purchased the car from Dr. Flannery in 2008 so this car has only had 4 owners from new!
