It was my collage aged daughter's (University of Florida, Gainesville, about 1 1/2 hr drive from our house) first car.
Now she really had her heart set on her first car being a yellow VW New Beetle.
Well we found it at a dealership. Car was in great shape but I tried to get her to put it off for another year or so to SAVE some money incase it needed some repairs after she owned and drove it for a while.
Well she drove it back and forth a half a dozen time - no problems at all. Then one weekend she asked if it was ok to leave it at our house for a week or so. She wanted to ride back to school with her girl friend. Two weeks later she came home and it wouldn't start. Don't know if she ran out of gas or the fuel pump acting up but a college student doesn't have much money or time for repairs, so her 92yr old grandmother bailed her out and gave her, her Hyndai so she could go to school.
So here it sits for the last 6 months or so waiting for a VW driver to take her home. ICY COLD A/C
