Description
1963 VW Type 2 Single Cab Truck: Solid original West-coast vehicle; original floor/body metal; rebuilt engine; new clutch; disk brakes installed; restored condition.  The logos commemorate Competition Motors in Hollywood CA, a storied former Porsche Volkswagen dealer that was the focal point of Hollywood's Porsche love affair, which originated in the 1950's.  On September 1955 James Dean embarked from Competition Motors on his tragic last drive in a Porsche 550 Spyder, which he had recently traded in his Speedster for.  The body of this Type 2 is excellent original metal, making this a high-quality example or arguably the best style VW Type 2 ever produced.     Please study the pictures carefully rather than requesting descriptions. Please complete any inspections or ask any questions prior to bidding or committing to buy the car. Thanks for the interest!
