I will post a video when I can or provide a link to view videos on utubeVehicle Details
The 1979 Vw transporter was the last of the Vw bay window buses built for the US market .It is considered by many including myself to be the most dependable and refined of the bay window buses. The Westfalia campers like this one are versatile enough for every day driving or that weekend trip to the mountains for some camping or road trip across America.
This Particular Westfalia is thought to be 86k original miles but I do not have all documents to substantiate. The gentleman I bought it from supposedly bought it from the second owner that had acquired it in 1993 with 67,508 miles on it. The bus was parked and placed in storage in 1998 with the 86,300 miles showing when I purchased it in 2013 .
I would keep this beautiful bus, but I have a 1972 VW Riviera camper I have owned for almost 35 years that I want to restore for my retirement travels. We raised our kids camping in it and now use it for camping with the grandkids. So something has to go and here is your chance to have a beautifully restored 1979 Westfalia. Please review following information about the restoration and feel free to ask questions
