1973 Volkswagen Thing

Exceptional condition.  All original paint which has been touched up with an air brush and brush in several places to keep the paint clean and to protect the body.
Original pan which has been blasted clean with walnut shell inside & underneath, then epoxy primer coated and painted black with the correct black 2 component paint.  No rust whatsoever on the floor pan.
The original engine has been rebuilt using correct German parts only, no Brazilian or Asian aftermarket parts were used in the engine.  The car still has the correct dual mufflers and the Webasto gasoline heater in the trunk.  We have not used the gas heater for safety reasons though we have no reason to believe it would not work normally.

New tires, new top, new seat upholstery (seat frames and springs were powder coated at the time of the upholstery),  new battery and new shocks (installed after taking the pictures).  New side windows with a new storage bag.  Many other detail items - sun visors, shifter bushings, pedal pads, rubber floor mats, many seals, etc.  Gas gauge works.  Original jack.  Extremely correct and solid car.

Starts up and runs like new.  Drives very nicely.  If you are looking for a top tier survivor original VW Thing, this is it.
