3.0 V-6 Engine
The motor was professionally rebuilt in the past. My sister owned it at the time & spent around $6K in engine repairs. It has not given my family any problems since.
Later on, my dad took over owning it & had it serviced by the Toy Shop in Shingle Springs. They replaced the clutch & did maintenance. They specialize in Toyota trucks so we got it serviced & worked on by a very reputable business.
My family has owned & cherished the truck since January of 1997.
I’m helping my elderly dad post ads & sell the truck.
AC- Works great!!! Very cold!!
Location of truck: 30 minute drive East of (Sacramento, California)
Truck was mainly used to help family members move & pick stuff up from Home Depot. Only on rare occasions was the truck taken off road. The last time my dad/I can remember that the 4 wheel drive was used/engaged was way back in 2005.
These trucks are capable of going off road pretty much anywhere as I’m sure most of you are aware, but my family just didn’t use it for that.
Regardless, It was nice knowing that we could if we needed to!
The frame is very solid. Especially since it stayed away from harsh conditions.
The exterior has minor dents/dings
Clean interior- seat does have a tear along the side of the drivers door. Apparently, that’s a common issue with these trucks.
Paint- originally black color. It’s currently painted a satin matte black using automotive spray paint. My dad/I didn’t feel like spending lots of money on a fancy paint job so I helped out and painted it. I’m no paint expert and It could definitely use some love regarding cleaning up the paint. I guess that just all depends on what the future owners intentions for the truck are.
Truck Runs good and starts right up!
Shifts in/out of all gears without any issues! No leaks that we know of. It’s been a very reliable truck. The truck hasn’t been getting much use so we figure it’s time to sell it.
Aftermarket Pioneer Double Din Stereo Unit with Bluetooth wireless phone connection- 6 Speakers were installed & this stereo system is loud. It has speakers in the doors, tweeters in the middle & 2 pioneer speakers behind the seats. Sounds awesome!!!!
Aftermarket Steering wheel
Custom Roll Cage- has mount holes on the top for lights. Will come with a set of KC lights with black KC grills. Lights were recently mounted on cage but not hooked up. A viewer requested to see them on the cage so I obliged and mounted them for him & everyone else to view.
We also have a Cobra CB that we never installed & everything you need to hook it up if you’d like. We also have a black camper shell that initially came with the truck. The buyer can have that too if they want it. The camper shell would need hardware if you plan on removing the roll cage & replacing it with the camper.
I’ve had people ask if the camper shell fits over the roll cage. No, the roll cage is slightly higher than the cab to help protect it in case of a rollover. It was professionally installed.
Side note- The truck has a kill switch chip installed that can be pulled out at any given time for added security while the truck is parked.
The truck has a aftermarket billet grill installed.
Bf Goodridge Tires- plenty of tread
Aftermarket upgraded LED taillights
Aftermarket upgraded headlights
Custom made diamond plate floor mats
Muffler Delete- has stock muffler that will go with truck
Original Spare tire is off truck & will be included for buyer to have.
Tags up to date-no issues passing smog
Truck is over 30 years old so don’t expect perfection. I’m sure I’m forgetting minor details/flaws.
This is a great truck that has never let my Dad or I stranded on the side of the road.
Only 181750 current miles. Miles will go slightly up.
Please feel free to ask questions or request to see it in person.
I have a rare brain disorder but am trying my best to remember & explain details as best as I can. I can ask my dad questions if I don’t know the answer. Thanks for looking. I hope the future owner cherishes this truck like my family has been for many many years now.
