Vehicle Details

For sale or trade is a 1985 Porsche 928S with 95K milesGiven its age, the car is in very good condition. Black on tan, automatic transmission. It's turn-key and ready to drive, smogged, and tagged. Title is clean.I've put a lot of time, effort, and money into this car. Since I've owned it, I've invested in a rebuild of the top half of the motor, full timing belt service, new tires, new injectors, refreshed engine wiring, ceramic tint, sunroof service, new battery and tender, and a tasteful (massive) audio system upgrade. Exterior- Paint is black and looks great for its age. It has some swirls and some random rock chips- The front bumper is in good condition but has more chips than the rest of the car- Wheels are factory and have little to no curb rash- Tires are new within the last 500 miles- Windows are in great shape and tinted with a high-end ceramic tint that is heat and UV resistantInterior- Electrical is in good condition, nothing obviously wrong- Seats are in great condition given the age, the leather shows signs of wear but is not torn and the form of the seats have upheld- Carpet is in good condition, as are the floor mats- Sunroof works great- Headliner is still tightAudio- Tastefully upgraded the system to include:- Alpine double-DIN ILX-W650 CarPlay and Android Auto touchscreen head unit- Helix V Twelve DSP amplifier, 12 channels- High-end Morel 3-way components in the door (custom fabrication for the 6.5" woofers in the doors)- Alpine 6.5" coaxial drivers in the rear pillars- Two Alpine 10" dual-voice coil subwoofers in a custom enclosurePerformance- It's a 40-year old car, and I'm in my mid-late 40s. I've driven it like a grandpa- Timing belt service was done due to the central warning light coming on when accelerating hard- I advise treating it like a 40-year old car, and don't buy it expecting today's sports car performanceWhat it needs:- The dashboard and dash pod are both cracked, which is normal for these cars. It needs removal, patching, and reupholstery- The AC needs to be recharged- The voltage gauge bounces indicating there may be a connection that needs to be cleaned- The turn signal tends to remain on after completing a turn- The seats and seat rails could likely use a service to make the motorized seat operation more smooth- The toolkit is missingWhy am I selling?I'm selling because I'm mid-late 40s with two small children. I simply have no time to drive and enjoy this beauty. Yes, it looks nice in my garage, but it's not doing me any good. How firm is the price? The price is quite firm. I have over $30K invested in this car. The asking price of $25900 is fair.Would I be willing to trade?Yes, I would be willing to trade for a truck or SUV (truck preferred) with a towing capacity of at least 8,000 pounds. Happy to trade up or down, depending on the vehicle. Must be low to reasonable mileage for the age of the vehicle, and, have a clean title.
