1970 Mercury Cougar two owner car. Car was purchased by my family in 1992 from the original owner in Melbourne, FL.  Car features a 351 Cleveland Big Block with Autolite 2 Barrel.  Headlight Vacuums are operational as are the sequential turn signals.  Odometer reads 178,000 miles and the engine underwent a valve and head job approximately 2500 miles ago.  Transmission was rebuilt in late 1990's and shifts like new.  An older restoration was performed in 1994 and the color changed from Ivy Green to Dark Green Metallic.  New floor boards were installed including new front vinyl seats and molded carpet.  Engine runs strong but the car has not been driven extensively in 6+ years so the brakes and power steering should be checked by purchaser.

Original straight and re-chromed bumpers.  Front fenders, hood and trunk are in excellent condition.  Original glass is in good condition with the exception of a bubble chip in passenger side windshield. Lower portions of the doors do contain rust (see pictures).  Lower portions of Quarter panels also contain rust (see pictures).  To be expected with original vinyl top cars, rust can be seen in the A pillars and around the rear window.

This is a complete car with original trim, drip moldings, emblems, taillights and front grill.  Car features aftermarket Cougar racing mirrors and hump hugger center console.  Car has new BF Goodrich Tires and older American Racing Torque Thrust Wheels.  Wonderful project car or restomod candidate.
