Reluctantly selling my 1969 Lotus Elan +2 project. Bought the car with the intention of doing a Spydercars conversion. I started a new career and simply don't have the time or energy needed to complete this car properly. Looking to sell to someone who can do the car justice. Presenting it in its honest, rough condition because I don't want to waste your time or mine.
This Lotus Elan +2 sports 40,476 miles on the odometer, but total mileage is unknown. The car has not been registered for road use since 1987, hence I believe the displayed mileage is legitimate, but I cannot confirm. There was water it at some point, hence the planned Spydercar conversion. Car is being sold as-is with a bill of sale and the last title it held.
The car is mostly complete, however it is missing the: drivers side window, front turn signals, marker lights, rear lights, rear vents and some interior trim pieces. The front and rear seats are in very good, but not perfect, condition. The dash is non-salvageable, but can be used as a template for a new one. The dials probably need to be refurbished but could still work. Wheels are all either cracked or rusted. Brightwork ranges from needs-work to near-perfect. Transmission moves through the gears, but I have not tried to turn the engine by hand. Scoped the head and gas tank and both looked shockingly good.
It is the buyers responsibility to pickup or ship the car.
