1967 International Scout 800 4WD

International Harvester introduced it's first Scout in 1961. They continued production until 1980. They then introduced the Scout II. International was actually the first to introduce this model as competition to the Jeep. It was also the first SUV type vehicle as Ford did not introduce it's Bronco until 1965 and Chevrolet didn't come out with the Blazer until 1969. Even though this is the case, the International Scout didn't seem to be as popular with the classic car crowd until more recently. Now they are holding their own with collectors.

The Scout had 3 options for tops, the full hard top, the half top pick up, and the soft top. This one is a very nice example of the pick up. It is also a 1 family owned vehicle. It was purchased new in 1967 in Oklahoma. It has been in the family ever since. Recently the original owner's grandson had it completely restored. We have extensive receipts showing the complete body off restoration.

We have no documentation, but have been told ha the odometer shows actual mileage. It is not herd to believe if you look at the before photos and see the great condition the body was in before work began. Also, since the original owner passed, the vehicle was rarely driven. Brent's Customers of Lewisville, TX did the restoration. The Scout was completely disassembled and everything was redone including the engine and transmission. The transfer case was gone over as well. The few photos supplied to us of the restoration, show that the body was in very good condition with not serious much rust at all.

There were a few minor changes made to this original vehicle. An aluminum radiator was installed, along with a few updates like an electric fuel pump. The restoration receipts do show a few new pieces of sheet metal as well.

Features Include:
196 cu in 4 Cylinder Engine (Rebuilt)
Borg Warner T90 Transmission (Rebuilt)
Dana 20 Transfer Case (Rebuilt)
Daytona Carburetor
Aluminum Radiator
Electric Fuel Pump
Dual Fuel Tanks (new)

This one family owned Scout is ready to get in and drive. You can be sure that everything has been done that needed to be. Hop in and go. This Scout will hold it's own at any car show, and you are not likely to see too many others there.

The Scout is available to see by appointment. It's located north of Dallas in Highland Village, Texas. I am representing the truck for the owner. Just call Maris at 214-616-2317. I can also help with shipping and financing if needed.
