You’re looking at a super rare 1971 International Scout Model 810, later called the scout II. They were only made a few months starting in 1971 and were barely 5000 made 53 years ago. Imagine how few are left today in this good condition with all the original factory drive train and original interior!!!. This scout came with a great deal of rare factory extras including the 345 V8 , Air conditioning, roof rack with optional roof protectors, in factory paint code"lime Green metallic" (see the 33rd picture for metallic green close-up). This Scout 810 also has the super rare, original T-49 automatic 3 speed transmission. (almost all scouts from 71 have a manual transmission)
This Scout starts right up, runs, drives and stops with good response and pep a 53 year-old Scout. The Interior has ALL NEW factory style seat upholstery and also brand new carpet. ALL THE KEYS WORK!! The rear lift-hatch key, doors and ignition keys are all original and all lock and work like they should.
This is a CONVERTIBLE TRUCK !! The top comes completely off for an open-air drive, or beach cruise! The last few photos are of the the rockers and windshield frame which are in great shape (Usually these areas are rusted to bits, especially up north in the snow) The body is in great shape (see pics for condition).
The truck is well built from the factory and has the original, big V8, 345 cubic inch motor and original 3 speed automatic transmission. All the gears and reverse work on the transmission and has a stick-operated transfer case featuring Hi/low 2wd and 4wd and it all works.
The Scout’s alternator and charging system work and keeps the new battery charged. It has working headlights, and 2 speed wipers that work with the original switch. The turn signals and hazards work and even the dash signal indicators work. The brake lights and dim/bright lights work. The truck comes with a horn that works like it should by pushing the original horn button (this is pretty rare) thanks to all the new parts installed.
The Scout comes with brand new tires (31/10.5/15) that are in excellent condition that still have the vent spews on them. This Scout has the highly desirable, Factory A/C option with all the components still intact including the under-dash and compressor in unknown condition.
It also has the cool factory roof rack with the optional chrome roof protector strips, original hubcaps in excellent condition. The dash and door panels are still painted with the original olive green and don’t have speaker holes or other modifications done to them. (this is extremely rare) Also factory equipped is working power steering with working power brakes that work very well.
