About this vehicle

This 1973 Ford Mustang Mach 1 is a beautiful example of how to restore a classic! Clear Texas title and registered as a classic. The current original mileage is 123,083 and has had many upgrades that started in 2018. First in 2018 a brand new 302 ci Blueprint crate engine was installed at 120,445 miles. So the engine has less than 3,000 miles on it. The dyno test has the engine rated at 317 hp @ 5,800 rpm and 332 ft-lb of torque @ 4,500 rpm. Paired with a custom exhaust this car sounds amazing and is very reliable and strong. AC and heater both work and blow strong. Car was repainted in 2019 and was originally copper. I would rank the paint a 85 out of 100. Looks great and still has lots of shine. There are a couple of spots where a few rust bubbles have appeared and are shown in pics to the best I could locate. The car is solid and has no major rusting. The transmission is the original C4 three speed automatic and shifts smoothly. Along with the new motor the brakes were done in late 2022 and new pads and lines were installed. Front disc and rear drum. Front windshield was replaced in 2019. New alternator in 2018. New battery in 2023. A new radio and 4 speakers installed in 2018 though I never use and have not turned on since I’ve owned the car. The interior is in great condition and original except for the center console that was installed in 2019. Floor mats were also added in 2018. A few other trim upgrades were made along with the gas cap. This car looks and runs great and can be driven anywhere. The American Racing wheels and Cooper tires were also added during this time and only have 3,000 miles on them. This car comes with all of the records including the paint sample and engine info and serial numbers. This was an original Mach 1 302 but the new 302 is about double the horse power. Really a great car with very little flaws and gets lots of attention whenever I can take it out though is very seldom which is why I’m selling. I have two other Mustangs and I have to part with one so here you go! The car will come with a full size spare and tire (a 5th American Racing wheel and Cooper tire) along with a car cover. This car is 51 years old and though has had lots of important upgrades and improvements, it is 51 years old and not a restomod. Myself and the past owners have tried to keep this car as original as possible so it is not perfect, but the price reflects that. If you’re looking for a show car this might require a little more invested but honestly not a bunch more. As mentioned above there some rust bubbles that have popped up in a few areas and I have done my best to take pictures. The floor, trunk, engine bay and under carriage are rust free as far as I can tell and solid. The car was originally copper so some of the paint under coat is copper wherever the painter didn’t cover but can only be seen at joints of doors and trunk. There are a few nicks in the paint but no major dents or body damage anywhere. The interior and exterior are in great shape for 51 years! The roof lining is in good condition but there is a section in back under the hatch area behind the drivers side that will probably need repair. The only other “issue” is the dash lights are not very bright at night and I will include the replacement lights that I have not installed yet. All exterior lights work perfectly though the right turn indicator on the dash inside does not light up. Last the rear springs and struts were the next item on the restore list and have rust on them but only topically and does not affect the driveability. The car would definitely like an upgrade. This is a great car that has been a blast to own. I have tried my best to relay any issues that a potential buyer may find but again I don’t think there are any major issues. The car is being sold as is and no warranty is implied. A $500 deposit will be required within 24 hours and the full payment will be required within 7 days via bank transfer. Buyer is responsible for arranging shipping but I will be happy to help any way I can. I have used the shippers via EBay with no issues. All correspondence will be done through EBay. All records will come with the car.
