GENERAL: Selling YBYNU, a 1971 Ford F-100.
I have had interest in old pickup
trucks for over 60 years and have been a fan of patina for most of that
time. I have never seen a nicer example
of environmental patina than this little Ford.
Many so-called examples of patina are made in a body shop or are poor second
and sometimes third coat paint jobs that are simply peeling off and often
showing poor body work. I can honestly say that in the cleanup of
this old truck I found no bondo. This is
the original Ford factory blue paint and factory primer exposed to fifty-three years
of Montana’s high-country sun and extreme winters. The truck comes out of the wheat farm/cattle
ranch country of North Central Montana.
PAYMENT, DISCLAIMERS, STORAGE, and TRANSDPORTTION - I require a
nonrefundable deposit of $500.00 within 48 hours of sale and the remainder
prior to me sending you the title. I
prefer bank to bank transfer, cashier’s check, or cash in person. Don’t use PayPal or eBay because of their 3%
surcharge, unless you are willing to add that fee to the amount you send. Well, I have tried to represent the old truck
as honestly and accurately as I can.
Please read my narrative, and please look closely at the pictures. The truck is sold as is, where is, and with no guarantee
or warrantee implied or specified. Once the truck leaves my property, I absolve
myself of any future liability. I am
very proud of my 100% eBay rating and will answer questions. I will post some of them so that others may
benefit. If you have less than 10 bid
history, please contact me so I can be sure of your sincerity and ability to
pay, or I will cancel your bid. I will help you with
your shipping in any way I can, I would rather not store the truck very long
because of worry of liability and responsibility.
Well, thank you for the time you spent looking at my 1971 YBYNU
Montana Survivor, and good luck in your
bidding.
Addendum 16 June: I have been asked about the finish on the truck. It is a product from Vice Grip Garage called Shine Juice. I bought it for an everyday driver but thought I would try it on this truck first. It really makes old paint and patina pop.
