UPDATE!!! I HAVE FOUND THE VIN and it matches the title!
Up for sale is my completely custom roadster. This car was built by an aircraft mechanic back in the 50's and is like nothing else on the road today. And not many custom cars can claim that and still have the cool factor that this one does. The car is well built for what it is and a lot of thought and care went into this build.. Theres lead work in several of the joints and the welds are well done in my opinion.
I am the 3rd owner and the owner before me bought it from the creator. The story is that it sits on a Custom 1930's ford frame, had wood floors and a side shift trans. Side shift was swapped out some years ago and is now top shift.
Motor is a flathead V8 with dual carbs and Weiand heads and intake. the motor is locked up and does not run.
THIS CAR WAS A RUNNING DRIVING FINISHED car some time ago until it was stipped for paint and never put back on the road.
Set up for headers and dual exhaust that dumps under the seats. As you can see theres no doors on this rig so you have to hop over the side to get in.
This car is the size of an XK120 and has the looks of an AC Cobra Slab side married to an MGA and a Ferrari. If someone could take the time to re complete this project they would have one heck of a beautiful car.
As can be seen in the pictures theres some rust in the top rolled corners and trunk area. Floors were wood and are gone. Hood is fiberglass along with the "trunk" lid. Some dents in the front fenders, nose itself is good and in general the car is very straight. The car is constructed of original sturdy sheetmetal from the era.
The car is titled as a 37 Ford and the Vin would seem to compliment that. i have several registration stickers dating back to the builder from the 1970's as well
Car is located in Joshua TX. I will be out of town from the 29th to the 7th and am happy to answer any questions before I leave and can help with loading the car after i get back. or prior depending on purchase arrangements.
