Following an extensive 30-month development period, the reborn grand touring Berlinetta and spiritual descendant of the late-Sixties 365 GTB/4 Daytona made its debut at the Nurburgring with V12 power and Pininfarina's contemporary take on classic Ferrari style. This cutting edge and incredibly capable Ferrari broke production car speed records in 1998 when it managed to drive 64 miles at an average speed of 188.88 mph, and covered 184 miles in one hour, despite making a stop to refuel. This impressive feat spoke to the 550's supreme abilities as a grand tourer. The exterior of this 550 Maranello is finished in Ferrari's Rosso Corsa, and its 18" "Star" Alloy Wheels are finished in brilliant silver. Power is supplied by a front-mid mounted 5.5L V12 producing 478 horsepower at 7,000 RPM and 419 lb-ft of torque at 5,000 RPM. The interior is finished entirely in Nero leather, with Daytona Electric Seats. The AM/FM Cassette deck also controls a 6-Disk CD Changer mounted in the trunk.
